Apollo, DP7 and PT possible?

Things are changing fast here. I'm adding a firewire Apollo Quad to my studio and would like to use either of DP7 and PT 10 with OSX 8. Should I expect them to all coexist happily on the same drive or is there trouble ahead? I'm guessing I should pull the 424 pci-e card, but do I need to? Thanks.

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

No worries. I was just showing you the lack of tabs. The mutes were of course off when I was actively testing. -Dan

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

No, Klaus. It doesn't.

Thank you. I don't see an attachment button but here's a link to it.

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

Sorry for the delay. Had to work some. I appreciate your efforts. I don't even see input/output tabs in my version of cuemix FX. That's the problem. I guess it's the old interfaces.

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

Thanks for trying, Klaus. The latest is that I'm seeking level in cuemix but can't figure out how to send that signal out of an output of the interface.

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

Thanks, Doug. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what cuemix is capable of. I want to input live audio to the 2408 via spdif, and send it (sans latency) out of a 2408 output so the performer can mix themselves along with existing tracks. I'd like to do this independent of the hardware desk. Is this possible?

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

Thanks, Klaus. Pretty sure it does. The PCI 424 console is pretty flexible. Still, I'm not getting it.

Re: Cuemix with a hardware console

Thanks, Klaus. I'm not quite understanding. Are you saying a newer version would work or no version will?

Cuemix with a hardware console

Hi All, I've searched and searched for the answer to this problem but I can't find my specific application. Sorry if it's redundant. Using DP 7, I've got two 2408s (pci-424), that connect digitally to an outboard mixing desk and I've just added a Behringer personal monitor system. That's where I'm g...

Re: Quickscribe and drum parts

Thanks for the tip, Mike. I think I'm in a little too deep to change horses at this point, but I'll look into that for the future.

Re: Quickscribe and drum parts

LOL! Man, can't thank you enough for this tutorial, the examples and the humor. Because this has not been fun! But this info will help immeasurably.

What I need to enter is not nearly as complex, but all appts. are cancelled just in case. -D

Re: Quickscribe and drum parts

Thanks for taking the time, guys. So it is as bad as I thought! Haha. Well ok then. Let me ask this then; what's the best way to get piano parts from DP into Finale? Is there any good way? I've thought about just playing them over into Finale, but even that seems to be full of land mines, like the k...

Quickscribe and drum parts

Hi All, A while back I generated keyboard charts that included a bit of percussion in DP for a show I was doing. I didn't use Finale because the charts were just for me, and DP is so much better at interpreting MIDI piano than Finale is. They were a little rough around the edges, but good enough for...

Re: My first serious look at DPs beat detection....

Greetings All! Sorry to have dredged up this old thread but I'm only just starting to try to get a handle on these techniques. Though it's not always the case I've been generally blessed with old school drummers who don't need any help from me to get it right. What I'm burdened with on a regular bas...
