What if you use sends to bus outs to either your individual outs or your stereo pairs.
Then just mute/unmute your sends to the mains.

Re: Patch changes for soft synths. sigh
I was under the impression that a lot of soft synths/VIs don't support patch change events. I think that may be a limitation of the VI... not DP. Is there a soft synth/VI that you can get to change patches via patch change events in another DAW that won't do the same in DP? Hi James, I think you're...

Patch changes for soft synths. sigh
Hey all, Is there any workaround to making patch changes work with soft synths? I've been on DP since 2.72 and have just disabled those columns in the chunk window for at least a decade now. I find myself working on theatre or dance shows with hundreds of cues and end up with one V-rack of sounds. T...

Re: DP11 is here!
Huge and long time MOTU DP fan of course, But am I to understand it's $195 Upgrade just to get native M1 / Big Sur support? If so, that is not good at all, and it could be bye to DP for me. Is there that much new in DP 11? As a guitar player, as I know many other have discovered recently: HX Stomp....

Re: The CC1 controller wheel is crashing DP10
Get MIDI monitor and have a look to see if its not a MIDI feedback loop somehow.
Confirm that your mod wheel is behaving correctly and not sending bad data.
Check to see if VEP is sending MIDI back to DP.

Re: DP losing sync with soundcard
It wasn't a buffer issue at all. It was a network issue. I put in on a switch that also was open to the internet and a couple of other drives. No matter what I did I would get those 'lost sync with sound card errors', which must have been packets dropped or something between VEP and DP. Now the pc i...

Re: DP losing sync with soundcard
Yes, the MH box is the clock source. Ok, I think I may have tracked this one down. It looks like it to do with buffer settings in the VEP plugin itself. Put the buffers at 2 buffers and it seems to be running fine. I may have even had different buffer settings with different instances of the VEP plu...

DP losing sync with soundcard
Hope someone can help me out here. DP keeps giving me an error that its not receiving sync from the soundcard when I try to play a sequence. I get stuttering audio and weird errors I've never seen before. DP will play, then start stuttering, sometimes I'll stop and it will continue to play MIDI. The...

Re: The weirdest question ever I suppose (about using two MAC computers connected together at the same time)
Its pretty easy to do with Vienna Ensemble Pro and another 'puter. I'd recommend either a mac mini or a pc, you actually don't need another monitor or keyboard you can run it through screen sharing or microsoft remote desktop. You also don't need a soundcard, its just ethernet between the two comput...

Re: Edge Editing Grouped Tracks
Did you enable editing, instead of mixing, when you grouped the tracks?
Track groups can be for editing or mixing, right?

Re: Sample Library ms offset
You could always buy a stream deck and set up some buttons to shift set amounts for different libraries/articulations.

Re: Frequent Crashes (emergency stop)
I get that if I change settings on my metric halo sound card, switching to setting for zoom, for instance.
Is there some other app accessing your sound card and trying to switch the clock?
And do try to swap out cables and check your card's power supply.

Re: Moving notes to another track in MIDI Editor
I'd like to move some notes to another MIDI track. Currently, I select the notes, then switch from the MIDI editor to the Tracks editor and drag the notes to the target track. Is there a quicker way? Thanks! Copy in the track you want to move from in the MIDI editor. Then delete. Use the navigation...

Re: When will DP offer articulation sets?
If you want to quibble over language shouldn't you be talking about not orchestrators (who are the ones who take MIDI/mp3/pdf from composers and turn those into playable charts for real players in recording sessions) and say those whose final product are sampled for the most part? As far as DAW use...
