What would you suggest to be a stable firewall? I've been using Avast antivirus for years without problems. It replaces Window's firewall, and as far as I've seen with DPC latency checker, it doesn't really get in the way. What do you use?

Re: Audio Express and Ivy Bridge
That sounds awesome! I've been digging and tweaking so much ever since my friend bought a Presonus Firestudio project and had major issues running it through his Windows laptop. His system at the time was pretty modern at the time, so it annoyed us to no end how we got pops and cracks. Since then I'...

Re: Audio Express and Ivy Bridge
Thanks man, that info would be pretty useful. I know a bit about the causes and cures for DPC latency spikes. I was wondering more on what can lower that base latency when there are no spikes. My laptop from 2010, when optimized, has a DPC latency between 80-190us. My old desktop, when optimized, st...

Re: Audio Express and Ivy Bridge
Hey, congrats on the build. Just out of curiosity, what kind of DPC latency are you getting out of it? I ask because I'm on the fence between using, and possibly investing more in, a desktop from 2005 (Athlon XP 3200+), or making a new build. I've got a good modern laptop with plenty of power, but d...

DSP Effects Updates
Hey, just wondering, has MOTU ever released a firmware update in the past [for any of their interfaces with DSP effects] that added an extra effect? I ask because the Ultralite MK3 Hybrid is capable of EQ, reverb and compression, and was wondering if a firmware update could theoretically add delay t...

Re: Ultralite MK3 DSP's Sample Rate
Thanks man, I'm excited =) Though the problems that a lot of users are facing, coupled with the lack of help from MOTU, are a bit scary, I'm confident in my ability to keep Windows stable (cross my fingers). Anyway I'm hoping someone can find a more concrete answer to the effect's sample rate. I'll ...

Ultralite MK3 DSP's Sample Rate
Hey all, first post: I've been looking all over Google/MOTUnation for this, but the question is too closely related to the device's sample rate. What I want to know is, at what sample rate is the DSP running effects? Can the resulting audio that comes out of the DSP chip, be it a signal with reverb/...
