Re: I can't unselect some audio
I have seen this—in fact, have caused this. I sure wish to hell I knew how. I work with one good hand and place the other on necessary key modifiers as needed. Sometimes, one hand or the other will slip and hit the wrong key causing this behavior. It doesn't show up in the Undo lists, unfortunately...

Re: I can't unselect some audio
Thanks for your suggestion. It was odd, It was only that track that was frozen. All other tracks work normally. But this one track was somehow locked I couldn't select it or do anything with it. And the track lock was not on either. I was able to recover the most recent autosave before it happened s...

I can't unselect some audio
I was just doing some routine audio clip editing in the sequence editor and somehow it selected an entire track that I cannot escape from. The clip has a kind of lightened look and the cursor is now a lasso. It no longer responds to any key commands I can think of. What did I do? I don't want to los...

Re: route MIDI from several tracks track to another MIDI track
On the ipad it's just very easy to route MIDI in all sorts of ways using various apps and I've gotten spoiled by that. Let me know if you get it working. I've felt lots of things about the iPad, but spoiled is not one of them. :) See the picture in my last post for arp example Thanks to everyone ag...

Re: route MIDI from several tracks track to another MIDI track
Thank you for your help. I tried it and it works well enough. Although I have to record it first and then use the arp. It can't seem to go through the arp first and record while it's arping. A minor quibble. You want to record the actual arping? Like have the bounced track show the post arp pattern...

Re: route MIDI from several tracks track to another MIDI track
Thanks but I think the first idea works a bit easier.Chandrasekar wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 8:38 pm One way is to export the selected MIDI tracks to type 0 and import in another track.
I have not tried in DP, but should work.
Regards.

Re: route MIDI from several tracks track to another MIDI track
If you assign those MIDI playback tracks all to the IAC Driver, then create a new track and it is set to receive "any" input, it will record the output of those tracks. (At least, that's how it works on my system). EDIT: I tested this and zoomed all the way in to see if there was any lant...

route MIDI from several tracks track to another MIDI track
I'd like to route the playback of several MIDI tracks into 1 MIDI track. I want to do this so I can use the arp while I record this stream of notes. Can't find anything about such routing.

My articulation maps are not 'sticking' to my project
I have already checked out the other threads I could find on the articulation maps but I think there are some questions that haven’t been explained. I actually have just upgraded to DP 11 from DP 9 and it’s been working great for me on my old Mac Pro still using os 10.13. MIDI editing seems a bit sm...

Re: MIDI plug ins by other developers
Basically MIDI out VSTi's (NOT AU), publish themselves as MIDI input sources in DP, so to use them you select them as the MIDI input source in the track you're wanting to affect. Logics way might look "cleaner" but I prefer the way DP and Live do it, because if you're using a drum machine...

Re: MIDI plug ins by other developers
This is how I use a VST Reaktor Sequencer in DP to route MIDI to another source. Make sure you are in MULTI RECORD. It can be done, and be patient.

Multi Record was the solution !!! Thank you so much !!!

Re: MIDI plug ins by other developers
Thanks to everyone for their potential help. I will study these things. It took me by surprise that something as basic as connecting MIDI should be so difficult.

MIDI plug ins by other developers
I"m flummoxed that DP cannot use third party MIDI plugins for receiving MIDI to a DP track. I thought it was maybe because I'm using DP9 but apparently it still does not work in DP 11? I found this thread and quote from 2021 but the guy never explains how or if this works. Where are the MIDI ou...

Re: DP (9) not importing MIDI files for me correctly
No it works the same dragging to tracks or chunks. And I did try to make a new sequence with 4 empty tracks to see if dragging there would help. but no. Also, to answer Mike, I do have 9.52. I'm currently checking over everything in the way I recorded the problem files on my ipad to see if something...

Re: DP (9) not importing MIDI files for me correctly
Hi and thanks for your comment. Yes I tried dragging into the tracks window yet it has the same problem. it imports only 3 of the 4 tracks. But now to compound the mystery I was rummaging through some old MIDI files from another app called Beatly Pro. This MIDI contained 5 tracks in one file and ama...
