Re: Have I made a mistake buying BPM 1.5?
..some time later, i say YES:"You've made a mistake bying BPM 1.5"! At least the update 1.5 from 1.05 since it can't export MIDI/Audio via drag and drop ..it crashes itself (standalone) and the host (if used as plug-in). If you think "..ahh, i don't need that" check-out the bad l...

Re: So how can i convert all the cool sampler formats?
What I understand is that MF doesn't convert any files. It mounts them and reads them directly. If I'm wrong I know I will be corrected soon by somebody. Great! Then all works perfectly like advertised! Kontakt, Ensoniq and Akai-S formats load directly and the user can have access to all the sounds...

So how can i convert all the cool sampler formats?
Hi M-Nation, I thought MachFive3 is theee big software sampler today. After spending some hours with it, it feels like a very big sample player with innovative functions and a huge sample library. How is the conversion of sounds from other samplers going? It's all possible, yeah! Akai, Emu, Ensoniq ...

iLok Activation without beeing online/locally?
Hi forum, can i register (entering code) MachFive3 (with BPM iLok) locally or do i have to transfer the codes via the web ..while beeing online? In other words: do i have to be online for running MachFive3? My Mac System/10.6.8 should stay offline, no web browsing allowed. Regards, theTOC (entering ...

computer keyboard plays rack instruments
Just today i recognized that BPM plays notes (in the rack) via the computer keyboard. Go to rack, choose an instrument, klick on the keyboard/manual below ..and from then start playing with the computer keyboard. (ASDF.. plays C,D,F,G..) Since playing A on the computer keyboard plays C4 and S plays ...

Re: "AKAI MPD18" Pad Preset needed/update
..maybe not, BPM 1.5 has a lot of mapping functions and shortcuts for all and everything. ..BETTER include multi-core CPU support than Pad presets (fx on a new core would be good). Regards, THETOC PS: Okay, coming here back ..over a year later. Nothing changed, no updates/upgrades which fix latency ...

Re: big CPU use when bpm is in logic
I'm using MOTU 1.05 (old) on a MacPro 8core (10.6.8/old) with onboard sound (bad/inbetween buying a new soundcard) CHANGED: BPM runs with 128ms latency with luck ..256ms is better. The Mac onboard sound gives 64ms or 32ms with luck. The Upgrade 1.5.2 does not do things better ..it actually makes thi...

Re: Have I made a mistake buying BPM 1.5?
dunno if anybody is still reading this.. You may check-out the synthetic drum section and all the 3rd party sound support which is available for BPM. Watch the other musical products the company is selling (software and hardware) and look how long they are running this business until today. Finally ...

Re: Recording >long notes< for bass in BPM (how to?)
Okay, i solved it an hour later. There is the Beat section for BEAT edits (BANK) and the Synth/Sound section for melody-midi-like editing (Rack). Realy cool is the synthetic drum (no samples) section. Right click on an empty drum pad brings up this section. Yeah, i liked the "PPG Attack" d...

Recording >long notes< for bass in BPM (how to?)
Hi, i'm pretty new to BPM.
How can i record long notes playing synth basslines with a drumpad?
After recording a bassline (with a synth on bank D) all the release
parts of the synth sound are gone, all synth sound like a drum sound.
Thanks, TOC

The Akai MPD16 is gone, the Akai MPD18 is there.
