ok thanks James I guess I'll try it both ways and see what happens . So does anyone else have a preference with how they are using DP8 in 64b and booting their OS in 32b or 64b? I really don't know much about that stuff.

I'm just starting to use DP8 a little more from 7.24 . I have a question when using the DP 8 in 64b should I be booting the computer kernal mode in 64b as well or does it matter? In my system prefs I have a 64b switcher for booting in 32b or 64b kernal . I have a older 8 core Mac Pro and am still on...

I also need to work in DP 7 and 8 right now but in OS10.6.8 So I did lose the sound control driver in 7 after installing DP8.04 ,I reinstalled DP7.24 and got the sound control Driver back in DP7 however now its gone in DP8 . A few things to consider. Some MAS plugins might not show up in DP7 anymore. (Invert Phase for example) DP8's Control Surface Drivers are not compatible with DP7 The Theme's architecture have changed from DP7 to DP8 You can make a copy of DP8, rename it DP8_32Bits, and set it to always open in 32Bi...

I've used Ice audio Audiofinder for years to audition samples and audio for DP . Its a pretty cool app for auditioning and processing all kinds of audio .

It seems at this point, you might be looking at trying to salvage the audio any way you can. I think the quicktime idea might work, or perhaps audacity. There may be some other way to open the damaged file and salvage some of it. Maybe something like File Juicer might work-- even if you end up havi...

So far DP still won't load the file even with all the audio files removed. I may be out of luck .

I've run into the same problem with a recent DP 7.24 / OS 10.6.8, Mac OS unexpected file end of file(-39). All other DP files I've tried open. I have also found this to be true at times when running a parallel drum buss and putting a UAD limiter on one of them, I will sometimes get a noticeable delay on the drum even though delay compensation is turned on. Although some limiters/compressors don't seem to do this with parallel busses.
