I'm waiting for my 7 slot SBS to arrive and another used UAD card to use with my other 2 in DP. Picked up the SBS chassis for $102 on ebay and missd out on one that sold for $56. So prices are still good for PCI versions.

can Mach 5 import and read Apple loop format without problems and adjust tempo etc.

If your loading the tutorial sounds and it takes 5 minutes something is not right. Even the large sampleslike the Bosendorfer don't take that long,maybe 30-40 secs. This on a 1.25 dual G4 in 10.3.8 with DP4.52. Perhaps it is a processor (G4-500) or ram issue if loads faster on your powerbook.
