This was mentioned a few months back, but I didn't see it in this thread, so...

Control Panel (Play buttons, etc) as an option for one of the panes in the Consolidated Window. I love CW, but I hate giving up screen space just so I can keep the transport controls visible.

Actually, I believe desktop sales have been up the last couple quarters...apparently the result of the oft-mentioned 'halo effect'.
