Re: Is there no DP 8 thread yet??
MLC... I thought you were punching out...??? You just can't stay away. hahahaha Love the sound of your own voice too I'm guessing. It's great to have you here practicing your typing. Too bad it doesn't make any sense. Perhaps you will generate a verbatim copy of Shakespeare if you keep trying. Scien...

Re: Is there no DP 8 thread yet??
I don't presume to offer permission and that never entered into my mind. Apparently this seems to have occurred only to you. That's fine. Feel free to defend your position from a place of insecurity while attempting to get sympathetic support from like minded persons. Clearly they are flocking to y...

Re: Is there no DP 8 thread yet??
Yeah, I got that too. It's the "not ready for prime time" hyperbole that kind of annoys me. Totally unfounded and deserving of a rebuttal. I'm not sure I need your permission or approval to say that DP 8 looks like 7.25 that can play with Windows. It doesn't look like it's offering much n...

Is there no DP 8 thread yet??
What do you think of the DP 8 preview stuff...? Nice that the Windoz folks can now play. Nice that 64 bit is an option... Call me an old fa*t, but I have never had trouble punching in where I wanted to punch in... and then been able to live with the consequences if I was early or late. Without any a...

BFD2 Multiple outputs in DP 7.24...?
I've looked around here and at FXpansion and can't find an answer to why I can't get multiple outputs into DP from BFD2. DP offers me BFD1 tracks "All, Groups, Stereo, Ultra"... Selecting any of theses tries to open BFD1 and doesn't open or see an open BFD2... DP also offers BFD2 tracks in...

Re: Lion-- things to know
David... Let me see if I've got this right; You play around with Lion for a few minutes at a store and decide it's the worst ever...? Hahahaha. Why not stick with pencil and paper if changes in the technology you use are a problem for you? I've been using Lion for a month, every day, all the time an...

Re: Lion-- things to know
So... Good news. I was able to install SL 10.6.8 on an external drive and my MBP happily boots from it. So, I have all my favorite apps back running on my new MBP under SL... and can boot into Lion whenever I like it better. At this point, I'm really liking the touchpad gestures for surfing... And w...

Re: Lion-- things to know
James, My next attempt will be to load SL to an external drive using a friend's computer that will see SL 10.6.3. Then run the updater on that version on my drive... Then I'll see if my new MBP will recognize the 10.6.8 SL on the external as a boot drive. If so, I'll burn a bootable DVD and try to i...

Re: Lion-- things to know
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I did that right away... I think the issue has to do with the Sandy Bridge stuff... I need to have version 10.6.7 or higher to make this work for me... and the only commercial release was 10.6.3, which I have and which will not work. I'm not sure the higher version will w...

Re: Lion-- things to know
Another follow up:
The SL version I'm trying to use is 10.6.3 and it's been suggested the minimum version might be 10.6.7...
I'll try that and report back.

Re: Lion-- things to know
Follow up: Just talked to Apple Care and they tell me I can not install SL on a MBP that came with Lion. I specifically asked them if the "Lion on board" MBPs are different than the pre-Lion MBPs and they told me yes and are supposed to get back to me and tell me specifically about the cha...

Re: Lion-- things to know
>I'm not certain you are correct. < Really? Why? The latest, most current MacBook Pro was released in Feb. 2011. There is none newer. It will run OS 10.6.8 even if it ships with Lion. I will be ordering a new iMac in a few days. If it comes pre-installed with Lion, I will most likely install Snow L...
