Re: Is it possible to change tempo without MIDI moving?
Thank you, locking worked as you describe. I'm on DP 7.24 so no bugs with it. Now I can see that the problem is micro differences between what DP thinks is 136.37 BPM and what the external sequencer thinks is 136.37 BPM..... must be implementation differences in timing between apps. After 2 minutes ...

Is it possible to change tempo without MIDI moving?
I've recorded MIDI into DP from an external sequencer application. However when doing so, the BPM setting in DP didn't quite match the BPM that was set in the external sequencer. Therefore my recorded MIDI isn't quite lining up with the grid in DP - it drifts more and more out of sync with DP's grid...

Re: Dither during export ?
Also btw it's impossible to dither a 32-bit floating point audio stream, all you are doing is adding noise that doesn't actually do anything. As long as your signal isn't clipping, it's fine to bounce to 24bit without dither. Just to be super-clear, that's only if you're bouncing to 24bit. If you'r...

Re: Dither during export ?
The way I understood Dave's post was that if you're doing a bounce to disk, you have to add dither using a plugin. The audio menu dither option doesn't do anything if you're bouncing. The manual does not explain this fact correctly. Also btw it's impossible to dither a 32-bit floating point audio st...

Adding a bar of silence at the start of a project
DP projects always start at bar 1, with the content starting to play immediately. That's fine for working, but when bouncing to disk I like to have a small amount of silence at the start of the file, rather than have the audio kick in immediately. I am wondering if anyone else here does this, and wh...

I had this problem too, but updating to DP 8.07 seems to have fixed it.

Re: Bouncing into stems
You should hear complete silence, or more likely, just the remnants of odd reverb tails with zero dry sounds (since often times reverbs are non-linear and therefore do not print the exact same way twice.) Kubi, I just noticed this comment - can I ask you about it a year after you posted? I've spent...

Re: Altiverb 7.1.2 defaults to MAS even if AU was saved
Huh. I had this problem, but in reverse. I had all the Altiverb plugin formats installed (VST, AU, MAS) and for some reason decided to uninstall the MAS version as I had some (incorrect) idea that it was basically pointless and I could just use the AU in DP. When I ran the Altiverb installer and des...

Re: DP 7.24 interface problems with Flux plugins
I contacted MOTU and they basically confirmed this is a problem with the Flux audio units.
I might try and ask Flux for access to the previous AU build version.....
Is there anyone out there on DP 7 using Flux stuff who is *not* having any problems?

DP 7.24 interface problems with Flux plugins
I recently bought the Flux Recording Pack and have noticed that the plugins have some interface/GUI problems with DP 7.24. Here's what I've got: - All the Flux compressor/expander plugins (Pure Compressor, Pure Expander etc etc) insist on a stereo signal as an external sidechain input. They can't ac...

Re: Customing project folder structure
You've pretty much got it.... I'm trying to maintain versions/history where a project is defined not just in DP, but across multiple applications. I use MaxMSP via ReWire, NI Battery and a few other things. If I make a change in MaxMSP I want to be able to save that, but also save the relevant DP ho...

Customing project folder structure
Is it possible to change the default project folder structure in DP? I like to save project versions with datestamps. Further, I save datestamped VI/rewired app versions along with the project version. But I want "master" folders for audio files, analysis files, plug-in data etc that are *...

Re: OSX Spaces with DP mixer
Cheers, yeah I'll give that a shot. DP's window sets are fine, but the one thing they don't do is update themselves spontaneously so they remember how you left windows in each screenset. I might open an effect window in one window set, switch to another for a second to alter some MIDI, and then want...

Re: OSX Spaces with DP mixer
This idea of using spaces to hold a variety of windows is great, and I'm trying to use it. However I'm hitting a problem - when I save a DP project, it doesn't remember how I previously arranged the various windows across different spaces. When I reopen a project, all the windows show up within a si...
