I like this music very very much. It has the qualities I like about Exotica Jazz like Gabor Szabo and Bill Plummer. I would like to know more about the way you recorded it. The hungarian waltz has melodica, is it a Hohner? Did you use a ribbon mike on it? I can see how you get soundtrack work with t...

Spark••™s save audiofile as mp3 window offers fast and and high quality options. The same in the Batch Converter. That••™s like the LAME export from DP. My version of Spark XL doesn••™t have an enhance option you••™re speaking of.

I used to use Spark's algorithm. I've forgotten what they called it, but they had an enhanced mode - it added much time to the process for any given rate, but all renderings seemed to perform well above their weight classes. There was a sparkliness about the results, and a seemingly more "open...

Vincent Bell has a signature underwater sound. And I am trying to get it once in a while, but always end in frustration. It includes reverb. Funny reverb wasn••™t mentioned yet. It••™s the most basic wet sound I think.

The colours you mentioned are all just that - enhancements to the actual audio, and they vary according to playing technique. I agree that they're useful and add interest. These sounds, however, are separate entities in and of themselves. Check the list quoted; you'll see what I mean. I'd suggest a...

breathing, throat-clearing, putting down/picking up sticks, snare-strainer on/off, clothes rustling etc. You've got to be kidding...  Why? I have a satin finish (cheap) ukulele that creates breath like/diffuse percussive (think brushes) rhythm along with the strumming. Stuff like that ...

Sampletank 2.5 with DP 4.6?

I downloaded the new 2.5 update for Sampletank and am wondering whether to install it. Has anybody here done so already? I remember last time (2.1) there were some bugs to be fixed. I find my currently running version very stable. Also I don••™t want two versions on the same system, but with the las...

Talking About Intuitive Virtual Studio

I saw this at the grateful web blog and thought this would be nice for studio use, eliminating the need for keyboards (the typing variety, of course). Imagine wiring your plugs in a rack and dialing directly with your hands.

I use that feature of Motu plugs quite every day. Screaming : "Motu guys, you'r geniuses."
Yeah! Or alt-drag to the other plug-in slot.

But a centered instrument would be pushed to one side by a loud hit at the opposite.
Thus I use M/S and VW linked. Then M/S decode of course.

Re: Why stay at DP4.6x?

I've noticed a few people are still using earlier versions of DP. I don't understand. Why not upgrade? Is there some technical reason? ••¦ Other than that, it seems to me that it's superior in every way to the 4.x version of the program. It runs smoother and has a number of little refinements and f...

Early 2003. Yes, I thought about cleaning too. But why does the problem go away when I plug into another USB input?
