We have 2 owc and one intel ssd as boot drive and sample playback for over 6 months, and they make a big difference in performance. No going back to regular HD here at least for those uses.

MOTU plugs vs. Waves, etc.
Their new vocal and bass rider plug-ins also help to speed things up when mixing. Surely, you can automate volume/compress to achieve similar results, but these plug-ins help you get there faster, which is great on limited budget projects.

Waves Specials (still going in December...)
Question for you guys, I just bought 5 waves plug-ins (voice and bass rider, h-eq, bass maximizer, jjp signature) but I haven' t got any of the "coupons" that some of you have mentioned. Is this something we are supposed to get over email from Waves at some point?

Lion or Snow Leopard
I just upgraded to lion and it has been a smooth ride. Actually, couple of problems I was having with SL (printing from Finale and guitar Pro) are gone in lion. both Dp and ProTools 9 are working perfect, including most of my plug-ins. I had to upgrade to Kontakt 5, but other than that, a smooth rid...

new macpro question
Got 3 ssd (only for 2 months) 2 owc's and 1 Intel, so far so good. Actually, HUGE difference. My Macpro feels so much faster now, all my sample libraries load real fast, no complains here...but crossing fingers they don't die on me a month from now. Good thing about OWC is that they have a 3 year wa...

Ok, I just disabled bank b inputs on the motu pci app. When I open Protools, the matrix still shows my adat b inputs, but they are disabled/ greyed out. is that what u needed to know?

Don't know. We use bank B for our Focusrite isa 428 digital card, and it sees it fine, the matrix shows all 16 inputs, 8 analog from bank - a and 8 adat from bank b.

we run protools 9, on a quad macpro with 424/2408mk3 just fine, no problems so far. Haven't tried with 2 2408's, though.

¿ How to remove one measure ...
Funny, I was struggling to find the equivalent to snip in protools, till I saw this post. Definitely, a fan of snip, one of my favorite commands in DP.

Is Aligning Beats Really This Complex?
I have been "forced" (well, not really "forced", since I am getting paid for it!) to get familiar with Pro Tools 9, and I am finding really nice features on it, particularly elastic audio. It is really effective for getting rhythmic stuff working properly, and fairly easy to setu...

Let´s try solve the problems: what audio format do you use?
wav 48/24, crashes on long files. regular length (4min) songs are fine.
