MIDI Command for Monitor Level?
Some CueMix FX functions can be controlled using a Mackie compatible control surface. But I have only seen the faders and solo toggles work using MIDI. Does anyone know of a MIDI event that can control the Monitor Level at the upper right of CueMix? I tried to use MidiPipe to change the Pitch Wheel ...

Re: MIDI Control of Traveler mk3?
Well I played around a lot with this using MIDI Monitor and MidiPipe and I have confirmed pretty much what 1nput0utput says which is that the MOTU Traveler mk3 does not respond at all to direct MIDI input. The MIDI I/O ports on the MOTU are simply a FireWire MIDI interface for the computer. To test ...

Re: Screech from within Traveler mk3 encloser when powered o
I purchased a new MOTU Traveler mk3 and it also emits the strange noise. The new unit was purchased direct from the factory from a different vendor, I saw the packing slip with MOTU's address, the serial number was significantly higher and it had the latest firmware version whereas the previous unit...

MIDI Control of Traveler mk3?
Can the MOTU Traveler mk3 be controlled in any way using it's MIDI input? I see CueMix FX has support for certain Mackie control surfaces but can the Traveler react to direct MIDI input? I have tried to send various MIDI CC values and I can see the MIDI input light flashing but I cannot get it to re...

Screech from within Traveler mk3 encloser when powered on
I just bought a Traveler mk3. After the "Loading CueMix FX ..." screen the MIDI in light flashes and simultaneously a relatively loud screech comes from within the rear left of the enclosure. It happens always with or without anything connected to it other than either the wall adapter or f...

Re: S/PDIF as Send / Return on 828 mk3?
Of course 5 minutes after I posted I found the solution - use a separate bus. I used Bus 2 for all inputs that will get the outboard effect and set it's primary output to S/PDIF 1-2. Then on Bus 1 the S/PDIF input is the return and I can mix that in as desired.

S/PDIF as Send / Return on 828 mk3?
Is there any way to use the S/PDIF on the 828 mk3 as a send / return to insert a reverb unit?

Re: 5.1 Surround Sound from DVD Player to 828 mk3?
Of course 5 minutes after I post the question I solved the issue. The VLC media player allows you to select the MOTU as output. I can switch between the different analog pairs of outputs for Phones under MOTU Audio Setup and hear the different streams - front (no vocals!), center (vocals) and rear (...

5.1 Surround Sound from DVD Player to 828 mk3?
Hello, Is it possible to get the Apple DVD Player app to send 5.1 audio to the Motu 828mk3? I have a TOSlink running from a newish Mac Mini into the 828 but Audio MIDI Setup for "Built-in Output" has only options for 2 channels (albeit "Source: Digital Out"). There's also "E...
