Re: Duplicate Mix Mode Problems?

havent seen it happen in dp7 yet, but used to see it occasionally in dp5 just make sure u hit save before doing a "duplicate mix" and if it then happens again, u can either delete that messed up duplicate mix and re-duplicate ur keeper mix, or close the file without saving and relaunch dp ...

Re: Where's my mixer button?

I know the zoom buttons are now down in the lower right hand corner of the GE window, but sure miss those big ones that were in the upper left. I have a 30" computer monitor so mouse ergonomics are a big deal to me.

Where's my mixer button?

Just went from dp5 to dp7 and apparently there's a whole panel of buttons not to the right of the timecode bar anymore, and apparently the edge of the window doesn't open out anymore either..actually missing mixer, markers, and audio/MIDI setup buttons now..and the zoom buttons in the GE window too....

Re: DVD back-up question

i would get the latest version of TOAST for your particular Mac ( http://www.roxio.com/ ) and that should do it..really stable platform for burning data DVD's, data CD's, music CD's. it's only about $99.00

Re: DVD back-up question

what software and version are you using to burn these DVDROM's? what model computer and operating system version? does the same thing happen when you burn data to a CDROM with the same burner? how old is the burner?

Re: Opening old projects- really old.

you could try sending one of us one of the files via FTP or Mac iDisk or email or something, and see if one of us can open it..my solution for old versions of MOTU software is to just keep the installer discs AND the computer that it was used on intact. whenever i upgrade to newer versions of DP, i ...

you should fully expect a save to take longer during playback..you should also expect a save to take a long time if you have tons of audio files in your soundbites window..i will occasionally go in there and "delete unused" files and that always will speed a "save" up a bit....vo...

if you're switching active monitors, then use a mackie BIG KNOB, if you're switching passive speakers (yamaha ns10'a / bose 301's / aurotones) i would look at a Niles HPS-4 from crutchfield, i own two of them..
