Re: Big Sur: Compatibility Guide
I keep checking MOTU. Hasn't been updated since the end of January. I hope they can roll it out soon.

Re: Is it OK to upgrade to Big Sur?
Nope. Not compatible with Digital Performer (any version) or the audio interfaces.
I would like an update from MOTU on this. I'm hoping they have a patch soon.

Re: Suggestions for MOTU webinars (topics, formats, etc.)
My number one suggestion would be to make these webinars available after the fact! MOTU has said they would, but it's been weeks. Maybe they seem too raw for them to publish as-is? They should realize that, for better or worse we're all getting used to seeing extremely rough presentations on TV etc...

Re: Clip Gain like in ProTools?
I have been looking for something similar to "time adjuster" stereo delay like in pro tools. I really liked that delay in order to create room and pan. I haven't warmed up to the dp stereo delay yet.

Re: Convert MIDI sequence into stereo audio track
If you want to do a quick bounce. Just highlight the tracks or 'select all' so that all MIDI is highlighted. Then, go to file/bounce to disk… Choose the format, file name, save location, and your done.

Re: Record Click Problem
Thanks! Didn't know you could change it in the conductor event menu. I wonder why the default is to hit the whole notes? That is really weird.
But, your suggestion has me working. I appreciate the help!

Record Click Problem
Hey all, This is probably a stupid question, but I am frustrated and need your help. I did something inadvertently and my record click only clicks on the whole notes, when I want them on the quarter notes. I have gone in to the preference, under click defaults and chose a preset click, clicked done,...

Re: DP9 It's All Good!
I'm going to take the plunge soon! But first, I want to give kudos to MOTU. I came back from a vacation and my Ultralite MK3 was fried. It was out of warranty and I spoke with Benjamin at MOTU who has another unit being sent to me. It only costs $99 for this service. Wow! That was so cool of MOTU. O...

Re: How do i change the width of the tracks
I hardly ever use the mixer window anymore. I do everything in channel strip and my main tracks page. To be honest, I wasn't even aware that there was an option to change the width. This is good information, especially since it works in channel strip.

Re: Reverb suggestions
They're all pretty good these days. I prefer Audio Ease's Altiverb, for the controls, displays, expertly recorded IRs, wide variety of halls, clubs, and other spaces; and the sound. Truthfully, you have to work with it to get the sound you want. There are many options, and sometimes one approach wi...

Re: NAMM 2015: DP9
The mixer does need a little revamping.. it's time. Some of the limitations mentioned here are mitigated for me though, by using the Channelstrip, I love that thing! As far as the MIDI/VI thing, I like DP's approach. I just wish I could select some MIDI tracks, and freeze or merge the virtual instr...

Re: show only the used tracks?
Great idea! Maybe we should add this to the DP wish list. I would like to see some kind of toggle on/off feature. For example, lets say I have 15 tracks recorded out of 110 tracks. If you toggle it on, you only see the 15 tracks. Off, you see all 110 tracks as usual. This would really make it quick ...

Re: How-To video: Connecting VEPro to DP8 (48 MIDI ports)
Great video!! I was hoping that this latest VE Pro update would allow us to use MOTU effect plugins within VE Pro… Unless I have something set up wrong, it isn't recognizing MOTU plugins, so I have to go the aux in DP route if I want them. Hey there. While VEP now has a MAS version of the server in...

Re: How-To video: Connecting VEPro to DP8 (48 MIDI ports)
Great video!! I love watching how other people set up their templates in DP. I learn so much watching things like this. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this. One thing I always struggle with is separating Kontakt tracks within VE Pro, so that each instrument has their own input fader in ...

Re: Independent films and audio
Well, the producer eagerly took credit for the error, but I get what you're saying. I'm just glad they knew what they did. I would be way more concerned if they didn't know. It still sounds pretty decent in mono, but I have all kinds of panning things, as you would in a trailer. Hopefully, they'll g...
