Re: Tap Tempo Issue
Thanks guys. Please let me know once you try it out if it is still working on your systems. I only use tap tempo to get an approximate bpm of something i'm writing. I will hear it in my head and tap the tempo to get a general tempo to put in the conductor track. Pretty simple use, but it isn't worki...

Re: Tap Tempo Issue
I have buffer setting at 512. This is something different. I went a while without using it. Used to work great. But now, it is causing my track window to jump all over the place. I guess it is taking the tap tempo data and transferring me to different measures. This creates a lag and causes the tap ...

Tap Tempo Issue
Hi all,
There is a good chance that this is something I caused, but is anyone else noticing a problem with tap tempo? When I click on it, it causes my track window to jump around and it lags the tap tempo key so that you can't click on it until the track window catches up.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Automation delays
My buffer setting is at 512. I set the priority level from high to medium and that seems to have helped a little. Maybe my template is just pushing my system too far. I was hoping that wasn't the case and that it was some minor setting I could change. Oh well, I guess I'll scale down just a bit and ...

Automation delays
Hi all, I contacted MOTU customer support last week about another issue and didn't get around to asking about this. I have to admit, I was not impressed with the customer service rep this time. I have had awesome experiences with MOTU up until that call. But, I won't bore you with details of that. M...

Re: Yosemite
^^^ I totally agree. My system is working almost perfectly right now running 10.8.5. I seem to always be involved in a project or an upcoming project, so I don't want to screw things up and cause a deadline disaster. I'm happy as I can be that I'm staying busy, but I'd like to test the waters and up...

Re: My 2 part video tutorial on Spotting film with DP8
Thanks for posting these, Brian. It's always helpful to see how others work through these things. There definitely is a need for more videos on the setup process. It can get quite complex and I've had to learn most of it on my own. Great stuff! thanks

Re: Click track affecting sound of instruments
Thanks so much, everyone. I love this forum.
Yep, I had a light compressor on my master fader. I turned down the click volume and that has resolved the issue. Thanks again. It was so annoying.![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Click track affecting sound of instruments
Also, it is fine when I play back the recording with no click, so it isn't affecting what I'm recording. It only happens as I'm recording with a click.

Re: Click track affecting sound of instruments
Yes. For instance, if I'm working in 4/4, only the 1/4 beat muffles the sound of the instrument at every 1/4. I'm not recording audio files, only MIDI instruments and it does it on every instrument I've tried.

Click track affecting sound of instruments
Hello, I believe this started with DP8 for me, but when I am using a click track, it is lowering the volume of my instrument tracks on the 1 bar. So, when I am recording a part, it sounds like on every 1 bar, the instrument is muffled or lowered. Has anyone else experienced this problem and know a f...

Re: Korg Kronos X + DP
I use a Korg M3 and love it. The only thing I don't like about Korg is the toggle mod. I much prefer mod wheels for VI work. I see that the Kronos and their newer one, Krome, also has toggle mods. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
I agree with others though. I would use DP sequencer.

Re: Adding a tempo click to a non-quantized track
Thanks everyone! You have given me a lot to try out. Yea, it is a MIDI track. I just turned the click off and played it on piano with emotion and tempo fluctuations. I may or may not keep the piano and just build full orchestra around the tempo and melody. But, I wasn't sure how to easily record the...

Adding a tempo click to a non-quantized track
Hi everyone, I am wondering what the best technique is for adding a click track to a non-quantized performance. For example, I performed a piano track that I freely played without quantizing or keeping to a click track. Now, what I want to do is go back and have the sequence meter follow the tempo o...

You might also want to check out U-he Zebra 2. It is great for that kind of stuff.

Can't beat Omnisphere either. I still use it all the time.
