Re: DP Themes building question
There's no difference in the theme implementation on the two platforms. You should be able to take any mac theme and move it to windows with some simple file name or folder name changes. You might not even need to do that. A few years ago, a couple of guys made third party mac themes and they should...

Re: Beat Quantizing - What Am I Doing Wrong?
I haven't done this in a long time but I used to do it a lot. I don't remember it doing nothing but maybe you've got the pitch options off. I think it uses the pitch audio processing to quantize. When I sued it, I remember that the trick to get good results was to find some beats and turn them off. ...

There is a command called Set Memory to Selection. Isn't that what you're looking for?

Re: Analyze Temp Issue
When I tried it, I got a message that said "Not enough beats."
I switched to the waveform tab and used Find Beats in the menu below the Beats button. I started with a file of silence so I got a spray of useless beats but no error from the tempo stuff any more.

Re: V-Rack question
From what I understand the memory meter is showing how much of DP's available memory is used. In 32 bit mode DP can't access most of your mac's memory. Any 32 bit app can only access 4 gig of memory. The v-rack has nothing to do with your problem. You just loaded too much stuff into your synths for ...

Open the time formats window from Setup. That will let you change all of DP's times to whatever you like.

Re: Enabling sends on a V-Rack
bayswater is right and I also think you won't need sends since you can add aux tracks to a v-rack too. In that case you can just bus all of your VI's to an aux track with effects in the v-rack. I think the trick to both of these solutions is to open the v-rack in it's own mixer window. Then when you...

Re: Problems Creating Tempo Maps
I use the exact technique that you described but I do one more step before adding the file to a track. I always listen to the track in the waveform edit with click turned on. That lets me listen to the tempo with the track and see if there are errors. Once I hear the click drift from the track I ins...

Re: quick question re setting defaults
I don't think there is a setting for that. I think that program is coming from your Roland and DP is displaying the current setting.

Re: what's going to work with dp 8 what's not?
That Get Info thing has nothing to do with DP. It's a mac thing. All of the 64 apps that are on your mac right now have that checkbox. You can use Get Info to make any of them run in 32 bit mode instead of 64 bit. In general you never have to think about that with other programs because they're not ...

Re: Add new track , no choice to add multi amounts of tracks
There's something messing with the menus on the mac where all the choices turn up. You either have some add-on or you've changed some setting outside of DP that makes those optional items show up in your DP menus. Normally you only see those when you hold down the special keys when the menu is visib...

Re: DP 7 Crashing As soon as it STarts Up PLEASE HELP!
I'm pretty sure I had the same problem. It went away after I reinstalled DP 7 and downloaded the latest update. Actually, I think it was 7.23 that was the latest when I had the problem.

Re: How do I apply a 3/4 meter to an audiofile's tempo map?
I've used adjust beats at times but I found it to be too much work and/or the results felt too loose. I've never been able to get tap tempo to do anything. I've tried the various things (record beats?) that lets you try and play a MIDI note to track the tempo but either I suck at tapping or there's ...

Re: How do I apply a 3/4 meter to an audiofile's tempo map?
No problem. I just pounced because it's one of the few parts of DP where I really feel like I know my sh*t and it's seems like no one ever asks any questions about that stuff on motunation so I had to jump in. DP does a pretty good job of locking to the flow of a track recorded without tempo but it ...
