AT FIRST SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH I'm on a Mac pro 5.1 the best configuration possible under mac os 10.13 working with two monitors I would like to swith to DP11...... but it crashes every 15 minutes on a regular mix session the 11.32 was showing a lot of graphical issues so I went back to a 11.31 ...

I really can't understand
Even when tracking with no plugins
Real time is at 50%
Even the mouse (track pad) seems to suffer and not moving normally, is shacking.
But it I switch to finder or other apps the system work as usual..... The mouse too

Yes front DAW Is a front end emulatiin by united plugin

I still cannot understand performance Meter in dp

Even in a project with free plugins
RAL time Meter Is in 50%
Monitor acitivy
DP 105 %
Cpu Activity 12%
I have a 24 cores
Why performance Meter Is @50%?

thak you for your replies 1 I have a NVME hard disk on pci bus so the speed of the disk is not a problem I think the problem is front daw even if they sell it as cpu friendly plugin however I cannot understand why my configuration seems to be greedy of CPU I tested out 256 audio tracks with a NLS ch...

When I was using a 5,1 Mac Pro, adding busses (however spelled) definitely impacted performance.

Thise plugin are mostly from 2015 or 16
Juste One or two are from 2021

My oldest mac is a 6.1 running OS 11.6.2 so I cant speak to a 5.1 and system 10. But, I can say that on that system the performance is quite good with the latest DP11. I've found that the highest buffer setting causes glitches and believe it or not a setting of 512 seems to be optimum for this syst...

I'm on mac os 10.13 running on a mac pro 5.1, the latest one with maximum upgrade 4x8core xeon 5690 and 128 Gb of RAM I recently update from a mac pro 3.1 on dp 10 to have more cpu power..... but I'm afraid that problem is somewhere else in DP LACK of power lack of CPU especially with dp11 RME firef...
