Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought. Send it in for repair. I'm guessing it has to be a problem with the hybrid card (FW / USB) since it works as standalone.

Did you find the problem? I'm having the same issue with an 828 mk3 hybrid. The computer won't recognize it in neither FireWire nor USB mode. The unit still works as standalone.

I've swapped cables, computers, voltage (110-220), you name it, still no luck.

I had no luck with your suggestion, all it does for me anyways, is toggle the inputs from stereo to mono, the outputs remain stereo.

Still can't find a way to do it.
