Re: DP OS error disk is full (-34)
On a whim, I tried something and it worked. No need to copy then import. Create and save your project. This will, of course, create your "Audio Files" folder. From the finder level, just drag your files into the Audio Files folder. Once they're copied, simply drag into the project (where t...

Re: DP OS error disk is full (-34)
This is a DP problem, not an OSX problem!!! What a copout!!! In my case, I'm trying to simply import 48k/24bit wav files from my Tascam DA-6400 cartridge into DP and I get the Disk Full (-34) error. There's plenty of space on the disk that I've created (and saved) my project to! I've tried both drag...

Re: AAF DP Conundrum
I've also been having the most difficult time trying to import Avid AAFs into DP. I've gotten mixed results; DP crash; Lots of chunks, many with no soundbites in them; total success. I'm new to the post game so I'm trying to find the best workflow. I've used DP since v2.7 and love it. I'm not that e...

Re: Static Audio Files
Am I deleting just the first pair of numbers on the first line of the hex file or am I deleting the first 2 row or numbers? Deleting the first pair of numbers on the first row doesn't work.

Re: DP8 mackie control's driver not working in dp7?
It's okay I have both driver. What I did is this: - I setup a MOTU folder on my desktop - in it I made 2 folders: DP7 & DP8 - Put the DP7 driver in DP7 Folder and DP8 driver in DP8 Folder - Next to the 2 folders I added a shortcut to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MOTU Control Surface/ Now Before star...

Re: Static Audio Files
Yes, static as in white noise! Not familiar with hex editors but will find one right away and try this. I'm assuming I have to do this for all of the wav files in the multitrack session, right? What do I use to gauge the exact start of the static? It isn't showing in any of the waveforms. Should I u...

Static Audio Files
I record from my Allen & Heath iLive (iDR10) console using a dante card 48k 24bit. At a specific point in my last recording all of my audio tracks went "staticky!" The waveforms all look normal, there's no visible change in the waveforms - they seem normal and audio "looks" n...

Re: import protools projects
What version of Pro Tools, etc.? If you're just dealing with audio and you have PT 9 or better (or some toolkit) you could try an OMF of AFF export from PT to DP. I works for me going from DP to PT, but haven't gone the other direction a quite a while. If you have MIDI also, then you'll have to inv...

OOh, I just tried this, and it only SMOOTHS out the lines of the vibrato (sine wave) - it doesn't decrease the SIZE of the sine wave. There's gotta be a way....

Re: DP: Tuning Vocals Using DP's Pitch Automation
Is there a way to 'even out' bad pitch on a note with the pencil tool, AND make the line somewhat squiggly, without having to totally 'freehand' it? What I mean is, is there a tool sort of like the 'flat line' pencil option, with a TINY bit of randomness to it? It would be more natural-sounding to ...

Re: Has anyone seen DP 8? Building a Windows DAW
I love the IDEA of being able to correct pitch directly within DP and it put virtually no strain on my system. I have experienced the aforementioned issues grabbing the pitch in DP and it's rather frustrating! Don't see how this could be an Apple problem, considering the entire UI was developed for ...

Solo and Aux Returns
I've setup aux sends and returns for effects. However, when I solo a channel, I hear that solo'd channel and the aux returns. But I hear ALL of the channels that are sending to my effects. I only want to hear the channel I have solo'd and its effects.
