Re: Machfive 4 this year?
Maybe I'm overreacting to this. Maybe not so much... http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=516955#p516955 You know, I was genuinely trying to be helpful by attempting to address what I thought was your genuine desire to know something. You asked a question, I provided an answer. I actuall...

Re: Machfive 4 this year?
And remind me again what the great advantage over M5-3 is? From Oliver at UVI : What's new in the UVI engine: New Oscillators: - Pluck: Physically inspired string synthesis but aimed toward synthetic sounds with a natural decay. (Be sure to check all the parameters using the inspector of the TreeVi...

Re: Machfive 4 this year?
Every MachFive feature I've ever used for sound design is in Falcon, in the same place; it's unquestionably the same code base. Falcon is more like MachFive 3 than even UVI's own free Workstation plugin. And without any formal comment from MOTU or UVI on the relationship between the Falcon and MachF...

Re: Machfive 4 this year?
but there is no question that Falcon IS MachFive 4. THIS was what I was responding to. Please provide your evidence. My evidence was the fact that I own both MachFive 3 and Falcon, and Falcon looks/works/sounds exactly like MachFive, with the exception that it has a bunch of new features (but a muc...

Re: Machfive 4 this year?
Neither MOTU nor UVI have commented on the future of the product currently called MachFive, but there is no question that Falcon IS MachFive 4. There are a lot of new features: More effects, more sound generation options, more modulation options. There's also a new browser. Also: Now a digital downl...

Yep, and CSM 1.5 is still throwing this error:

Re: M53 update: v3.2.1
Yeah, this is pretty weird. It looks like they just updated the timestamp on the site? I checked my DL history and 3.2.1 is the version I downloaded 2 days ago only to discover that it was already installed (from several months before).

Re: loading a Kontakt .nki file into M53
If the Kontakt patch includes separate WAV files, try placing a copy of the NKI file into the same folder as the WAVs and import the NKI from there.

Re: M53 update: v3.2.1
Despite the timestamp, they must have JUST posted that! Just two days ago I got UVI's CS-M 1.5, and when I opened it in MachFive, I got errors saying that the program was coded with a newer script engine. But when I checked MOTU's site at the time the most recent update they had was the version I al...

Re: Get ready for the dumbest question of all time....
Soundflower. The OP is posting in the Windows forum, so not an option. Neither is Audio Hijack which I use to capture audio. Oh? I use a program called Total Recorder to do that (record streaming radio or audio from streamed video, etc). I thought Audio Hijack did the same thing? Or are you just sa...

Re: How to directly monitor PCIe-424 with 24I/O in Ableton L
I really wish there were some actual up-to-date documentation for CueMix FX. The info in the PCIe-424 manual is thin indeed. While I still have absolutely zero idea how the control room talk/listen stuff works, I've finally managed to figure out how to use CueMix for direct monitoring in conjunction...

Re: How to directly monitor PCIe-424 with 24I/O in Ableton L
Don´t know about Ableton but MOTU Digital Performer has direct monitor with all Motu interfaces. I sent in a support ticket with MOTU and their response was the same. I was able to direct monitor with the UltraLite because that had the feature built in to the UltraLite control panel, but the same i...

How to directly monitor PCIe-424 with 24I/O in Ableton Live?
I own the PCIe-424/24I/O combo and when attempting to track out vocals in Ableton Live, there is significant latency. The PCIe-424 manual says that CueMix allows zero-latency monitoring, but cannot find any instructions on how to make it work. When I used to have an UltraLite-mk3, there was an optio...
