Thanks for the advice: the cause was really the RAM. I have found a workaround by limiting the RAM to from 4 to 3 GB from Windows Command Prompt. You can do this in Vista by: 1. Open Command Prompt as an Admin 2. Type: bcdedit /set removememory 1024 (to remove 1 GB) 3. Reboot the PC This way I get s...

Just so I am clear: My PC is 4GB, do you mean to say that I need to physically remove 2GB of RAM? Are there any settings that need to be changed in BIOS/Windows?

828 mk2 - No Sound on Vista x64: Workaround for 4GB Limit
Hi, I am using a 828 mk2 since 2 years on a laptop with Vista x32. I have just bought a PC with Vista x64 and cannot run the 828 on this machine. I have installed the latest drivers. The 828 is recognized by the PC. However I do not have any sound (Windows test, MP3...). Any ideas would be welcome. ...
