Re: New Drivers : 4.0.44925 : 07/02/11 : Any Views?
Does anyone know if the new driver in conjunction with Windows' WMD driver, that can recognize multiple interfaces unlike ASIO which only recognizes one, will work with interfaces from two or more manufacturers at the same time (for example MOTU Ultralite and MR816)?

Re: New Drivers : 4.0.44925 : 07/02/11 : Any Views?
I understand that WDM allows multiple devices to be recognized, and that MOTU and Steinberg include WDM that Sonar (for one) can use. Has anyone been successful?

Re: New Drivers : 4.0.44925 : 07/02/11 : Any Views?
The question was intended to ask if the new driver allows another interface's driver to be used. In other words, the question is whether the new MOTU driver allows a Steinberg/Yamaha MR816, whose drivers according to Steinberg do not conflict with MOTU drivers, to be used simultaneously with a MOTU ...

1inputOutput,
Does the new driver allow you to use multiple firewire devices of different manufacture? Or are you limited to multiple Motu units?

Problems Daisy Chaining Ultralite MKIII
We have been unsuccessful in daisy chaining two Ultralite MK IIIs as described in the manual, in Sonar 8.5.3 and XP 32 bit. The system will see only one of the Ultralites at a time. The problem remains despite disabling the soundcard in Device Manager or BIOS, and regardless of use of WDM or ASIO. T...

Ultralite Connection by SPDIF to MR816CSX
I'd like to use a MOTU Ultralite with a Steinberg MR816CSX interface. The Motu drivers and Steinberg drivers apparently are not compatible as the Motu is not recognized when daisy chained to the MR816 or when plugged directly into the firewire card. The Motu does not have ADAT. Will the 8 inputs to ...

Re: MIDI problems using MOTU Ultralite MK3
johnsbaker, thanks for your response. Did you let Motu Tech know your thoughts about the loop back test? What was Tech's response? Please explain why the test is not vigorous enough. I'm not as knowledgeable as you, and need help understanding what shows the errors. Thanks for your help.

Re: MIDI problems using MOTU Ultralite MK3
Received the following from Motu Tech a few moments ago: "Added by Matthew on 2010/05/28 12:07:53 GMT-5 "Hi Craig, "I want you to run a loop test within the Ultralite and Sonar to see if we get that same type of issue. "Create a MIDI track and assign the output to of the Ultralit...

Re: MIDI problems using MOTU Ultralite MK3
I've had a Tech Note pending for two months now on this subject and problem. I tried Tech's suggestions on properly loading and updating the drivers with no success. My responses have gone unread for a month for the first reply and now two weeks for the second. My workaround for the problem is to us...

Midisport Indicates MIDI Issues Likely Due to MOTU Drivers
It appears that the firewire drivers for Windows 7 64 bit have not fixed MIDI issues. Stuck, missing and erroneous MIDI notes occur in my Yamaha MO 8 keyboard and TC Helicon Voiceworks using TI chip regardless of the combination of drivers I use at any buffer size smaller than 1024 for Ultralite mk3...

Re: New drivers - 64fw-3.7.39083.zip
Additional work is needed on the drivers. No matter whether I use the 3.7.39083 drivers or the 3.6.8.1410 drivers I am unable to avoid stuck or missing MIDI notes at any buffers less than 1024. Yesterday m audio issued win 7 64 bit drivers for its midisport 2X2. I unhooked my Yamaha MO8 keyboard and...

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
I'm using firewire with a TI chip and not having great success on Win 7 64 bit. I get stuck MIDI notes unless I set buffers of at least 512 using WaveRT and WDM drivers and at least 256 using ASIO. This just should not be necessary with double Xeon dual core processors at 3 Ghz each, 10 gig RAM and ...

Re: Third Party 1394 bus controller drivers for XP and Vista
I receive a "link appears to be broken" message when trying to use the AVT link for the bus driver posted on the first page. My OS is Win 7 64 bit, so I downloaded AVT FirePackage 64 and installed it. FirePackage64 v1.1 downloads from the right column of this page: http://www.alliedvisiont...

Agere Lucent Firewire Chip High Latency and Large Buffer Req
My computer is a Dell Precision 470 with Dual Xeon 3ghz processors 4gig ram XP 64 bit, has Agere firewire (400) chip, and I'm using Ultralite Mk3 with Sonar Producer 8 and the ASIO driver (1394 IIRC). If I try to use buffer samples of less than 1024 I get clicks or skips in all projects (audio or au...
