Re: Consolidated window changes unexpectedly

Just to close out:

I did continue to see changes in my consolidated windows after sleep in Sequoia 15.4. I must have just gotten lucky when I wrote my previous post. I just installed 15.5 - we'll see if that helps.

But window sets is a one click solution that I can live with.

Re: Consolidated window changes unexpectedly

Window Sets are your friends. Yes, I did save the window set yesterday, so that if it happened again, it would be just one click to return things to where I like them. But after deleting those startup items, all was as I left it yesterday when I came down this morning. So either I resolved the prob...

Re: Consolidated window changes unexpectedly

Are you experiencing it in macOS 15.4.1? Yes, I'm at 15.4.1. I've restarted the computer multiple times, and still see it. Just happened again this morning after my initial post. I just had a look at some of the login and background items and removed or turned off a few that I don't need (NI Agents...

Consolidated window changes unexpectedly

Hi all; I'm seeing benign, but odd behavior from the consolidated window lately, and I'm not sure what might be causing it. I always have the Track Selector, Markers and Track Group windows open in the left sidecar of the consolidated window. Recently, when I've gone into the studio and woken up the...

Tip: flattening out nested track folders

Hi; Here's a tip to quickly flatten out nested track folders that I just discovered. I was in the process of writing a post to ask about it, when I found a solution! Background: I had a project that started out with a template that had a track folder for 2 rhythm guitars. As I worked on developing t...

"Evermore"

Just finished this one last week. https://soundcloud.com/crduval/evermore?si=037b005ea3c54dd39aa049b4d781ba01&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing . A melodic hard rock song with some funk and prog elements. The big takeaway for me with this project was learni...

Re: Digital Performer 11.34 version

• Fixed a bug causing DP to reexamine all previously skipped plugins of the same format in addition to the selection when attempting to reexamine specific VST2 or VST3 plugins from the Audio Plug-in Preferences. I literally just saw this one only minutes before seeing this post. Nice timing, MOTU!

Re: Time shifting "breaks" track groups - any ideas?

Awesome, trimming will do it rather than just using the scissors, which I've tried unsuccessfully. Thanks very much!

Time shifting "breaks" track groups - any ideas?

A belated Happy New Year to all, and thanks to all contributors for the great info that this group continues to provide! I have a question about track grouping and editing - insight appreciated. I usually track electric guitars from three sources at once: a mic'ed cabinet, a DI input and through a C...

Re: DP 11.32

…although I've had to remove and reinstall Falcon instances a couple times for stuck notes that would not stop. Hitting the panic button on my MIDI controller has no effect… I haven’t experienced this so far, but if I might make a suggestion: a quicker way to stop the stuck notes might be to tempor...

Re: DP 11.32

Hi folks, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuck notes on VIs, when input monitoring is on: for me, it happens if you run the wiper backwards over MIDI notes, or sometimes as I am clicking and dragging MIDI notes to edit them, either in the sequence or MIDI editor view. It's annoying as...

MX4 controller confusion, mod wheel = breath, could not control an LFO.

I'm working on a project that needed a lead synth sound, and I thought I'd use MX-4. I haven't used it in years, but I always liked the sound and with this track, I thought it would be perfect. I found a sound I liked, and went to add an LFO to control pitch via the mod wheel to control vibrato. The...

Re: Custom key commands - a cautionary tale

But, anyway, the quick fix was to uncheck Master Master in the commands window. Thinking back, I think this was actually what happened in my case. I had checked the "Master Master" box as I was playing around with the commands window. Based on others' comments, I think that F# command was...

Re: Custom key commands - a cautionary tale

HOLY GUACAMOLE! I've been living with a "broken" F#2 key on my MIDI keyboard for several years. I just checked the DP Command window and sure enough, that note was assigned to "Master Sequence"?? I believe. I deleted it and now the note plays on my keyboard! AMAZING! I don't use...

Custom key commands - a cautionary tale

Hi folks; Just had an experience that I thought I'd relate in case this happens to you. I recently noticed that one of the keys (F#3) on my MIDI controller was no longer recording MIDI data into DP. Just the one note. My first thought was that my controller had a problem, most likely a guitar pick t...
