Re: How to copy current Cuemix settings to new PC?
Thanks for the response. The export/import trick worked as far as copying the settings but for some reason I'm not getting any sound so I may have missed something. I just noticed that on the Win7 box in Control Panel - Sound it shows that no audio devices are installed. I had the machine custom bui...

How to copy current Cuemix settings to new PC?
I have the 828 mk3 running on a PC with XP and after a lot of tweaking I finally got my Cuemix settings where they should be. I just purchased a new PC running Windows 7 and have Cuemix loaded on it. However instead of starting over I would like to copy and paste my current settings from the XP mach...

828 mk3 Driver Update causing WMA/V files to play too fast?
I updated my 828 mk3 drivers recently which helped quite a bit with latency issues. However, I have noticed that now most of my Windows Media Audio/Video files play back at double speed with chipmunk sounds. I am running Windows XP Pro SP3. I did an update and still have the problem. It may be coinc...

Re: Thoughts and Advice please? I think some might like this!
Thanks guys, I appreciate it :) I only know ONE way to do business....... to be treated the way I want to be treated and know that whomever I'm giving my hard-earned money to is actually going to work for me, not just trying to sell me something and move on. Brad, First I think the site you are wor...

Re: MOTU phone support? Can you ever get it?
Or you could make sure the retailer you purchase a product from provides their own in-house professional support instead of relying on other sources..... As I was making decisions regarding my audio system upgrade, I contacted various manufacturers and was able to speak with their customer support ...

Re: MOTU phone support? Can you ever get it?
Motu makes a great product. But I will not recommend it to anyone until they increase tech support. A constant busy signal is simply unacceptable. From what I can figure out, your problems with the 828mk3 stemmed from the fact that you were using Windows XP MCE, right? Here's your quote: The guy wh...

Re: MOTU phone support? Can you ever get it?
I will chime in here, this is ridiculous. I bought the 828mk3 and an Echo AudioFire4 at the same time from a place that offered a generous return policy, knowing I could return either one within 45 days. After more than 2 weeks of trying -- and failing -- to get through to motu tech support, I boxed...

Re: 6ft FireWire works, 10ft and 15ft do NOT
That is interesting, I am having a bit of trouble getting my 828 mk3 to work with my PC, and I am using a 15' firewire cable. I never considered that the length of the cable would make a difference, I'll have to try the original 6' cable to see if that resolves the problem. I will report back later ...

Basic firewire question re Motu 828 Mk3
I am trying to set up the motu 828 Mk3 firewire audio interface but have hit a roadblock... I have connected the PC to the motu via firewire cable but I am not able to get signal on the motu as there is not a "firewire" input option on the motu. There is analog, SPDIF, and mic but no firew...

Re: Is the 828 Mk3 + Windows XP MCE hopeless?
wow great thread but a ton of info... still, I'll give it a shot. I wonder if it is necessary to install a PCI firewire card? I'm using an nVidia board, 680i. There is a firewire connection directly from the board to the front of the case so I don't think I would need a PCI firewire card.

Re: 828 Mk III - Does it have analog vol control for inputs?
The guy who built my system put MCE on it, I really didn't want it, i wanted XP Pro but it hasn't been an issue until now. I have an older version of XP Pro, I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I'll have to install it over MCE, I just hope I don't lose all my programs and have to reinstall eve...

Is the 828 Mk3 + Windows XP MCE hopeless?
I just spend $750 on an 828 Mk3. From what I have read I am very concerned that it will not work well with my XP Media Center Edition. Has anyone managed to make this combination work? Has anyone managed to make the 828 Mk3 work with XP Pro? I have an old copy, I could always reinstall Windows (shud...
