Re: PCIe-424 Card Work with Windows 10?
Fwiw... My PCIe-424 card doesn't seem to work properly in the PCIe x1 slot in my computer, but it DOES in the x16 slot. My computer, a Shuttle XH510G2, only has those two slots. Luckily, I don't need to use the x16 slot for anything else (as this a dedicated DAW machine, with only the 424 installed)...

Re: Reverse engineering PCI/PCIX/PCIe-424 configuration protocol?
Thanks for the reply, Mike. But... how does it apply to the question posed in my original post? My system is working fine (under Windows). I am not in need of drivers. My question was "has anybody reverse-engineered the configuration protocol" (for the PCI-424 card) such that someone (like...

Reverse engineering PCI/PCIX/PCIe-424 configuration protocol?
Has anyone done this, or is aware of an open-source project that has done this? For example, a third-party configuration app alternative to MOTU's own "PCI Audio Setup" and/or "CueMix" apps? I have a system with four 24 I/O interfaces attached to a PCIe-424. As a Windows develope...

Re: 24 I/O works after "cold" start, but then sample rate starts flashing endlessly
Update: I haven't done any chilling spray diagnostics (as Mike suggested), but I did try slapping a heat sink on the larger voltage regular (since that is the one "with" a heat sink in the REV 2 board): https://i.postimg.cc/yJkSDxjf/IMG-4983.jpg ...and, lo and behold, the flashy unit maint...

Thanks Mike. That's a great idea to use a chilling spray.

Re: 24 I/O works after "cold" start, but then sample rate starts flashing endlessly
Interesting too is that the REV 2 main board has a large 12000uf 16V capacitor, whereas the REV 1 has 15000uf 10V. Another design change.

Re: 24 I/O works after "cold" start, but then sample rate starts flashing endlessly
Some things I have tried/noticed: - One of my other (working) units has firmware 1.1, while the "flashy" unit has 1.0. I moved the 1.1 chip into the flashy unit, but this did not help (was a long shot). - I measured voltage output of both regulators (that I could find) in the flashy unit a...

24 I/O works after "cold" start, but then sample rate starts flashing endlessly
I have a 24 I/O rack unit hooked to a PCIX-424 card. When I first turn the unit on, the sample rate indicators do their normal "scan" before eventually settling on a single rate, which remains solidly lit (for example, "44.1", or whatever was last configured). I can then also con...

Re: Installing MOTU PCI-424 card
It's common under Windows, with hardware that requires a shutdown like a PCI card, to install the driver before installing the hardware so that the Plug & Play system will be "primed" and able to recognize the new hardware upon reboot. It can make the installation process smoother... f...

Re: PCI-424 driver prevents Windows from going to sleep
Hmm... I don't have the ASUS ATK utility. What is it? When I remove the MOTU driver, then my system can sleep/hibernate normally. When I install again, the problem returns. Besides, the message identifies the MOTU driver specifically... so I'm not convinced the problem is due to another piece of sof...

PCI-424 driver prevents Windows from going to sleep
Hello, I have a 24 I/O with a PCI-242 card. Whenever I try to put Windows to sleep with the PCI-424 driver installed, Windows does not sleep, and about 30 seconds later, the following message appears: "System Standby Failed: The deivce driver for the 'MOTU PCI Audio Device' device is preventing...
