Re: DP11 Crashing
So, I discovered that it's MachFive 3 that is crashing DP11 on launch. I'll get with MOTU. I also think I may have posted this in the wrong forum, so I apologize for that. Thanks.

Re: DP11 Crashing
Thanks. I'll check it out. I did find that I can start a new project and it launches fine, but when opening a preexisting DP9 project, it crashes when loading the instruments. Shouldn't be too hard to find which instrument is causing the issue.

DP11 Crashing
Tonight I upgraded to DP11 and Big Sur. When I launch DP11, it crashes while loading plug-ins. Any idea how to troubleshoot and resolve this?

Recommendations for New Macbook Pro
I am running DP8 and an assortment of plug-ins and while my 2007 MBP has been great, it just won't keep up any longer. I'm wondering what I should be looking at in terms of a new MBP. For example, is there any feature I should be careful to avoid or a processor that I definitely want to have? Budget...

Ultralite MK1 and Firewire Connection
Greetings,
My MBP's firewire port appears in the system report as "Maximum Speed: Up to 800 Mb/sec" but my Ultralite MK1 will not connect. This just recently started happening. I've downloaded and installed all the latest drivers but to no avail. I'd be thankful for any ideas.
Thanks.

Re: Adding External Drives to Macbook Pro
Thanks, everyone, for the replies and the helpful information. My MBP does indeed have a slot and I do use Firewire for my audio i/o. So, I think eSATA is the solution.
Thanks.
Brent
Thanks.

DP6/Adding External Drives to Macbook Pro
Greetings, I am running DP6, along with various virtual instruments, on a Macbook Pro 2.2 Core 2 Duo with 4G RAM (the max on this machine) and a 320G HD, 10.6.3. I want to add two external drives, using the internal drive as the boot and application drive, one drive with instrument samples, and one ...

Re: CueMix FX and Ultralite
Yeah, I'm pretty much coming to the conclusion that it's not supposed to function that way, although I wouldn't know why not.

Re: CueMix FX and Ultralite
Well, the audio runs through the Ultralite as set in system preferences, but CueMix will not control the output level of the Ultralite. And maybe it's not supposed to function that way, but it'd be nice if I didn't have to adjust the Ultralite volume with the tiny rotary knob on the Ultralite.

CueMix FX and Ultralite
I am simply trying to control the master volume on the Ultralite with respect to the MacBook sound output, outside of Digital Performer. In other words, when running iTunes, I'd like to be able to lower the main output of the Ultralite using CueMix rather than the main output knob on the Ultralite. ...
