I've been writing down the loops and measures in a book too. A friend just happened to be in the studio with me and showed how they do it in Logic Studio, you can see the loop name in the loop sample you drop. Had to grab a rag to catch the drool...:-) I think if enough users asked MOTU to implemen...

i talked to the toontracks peeps at NAMM and was told that EZ Pro will indeed translate the AD tracks.

i haven't tried it yet so i can't say how well it works.

i can say from experience that porting one type to another is a pretty intense job.

geez i'm so glad you asked this question... i've recently been using my old modules and keyboards and had completely forgotten about the ability to pull up patch names from the track window-i'd taken the default name column out of my set-up. i've used VI's for so long it just never crossed my mind.....

watched the demo twice today...it's actually quite cool with many interesting features. you can open and play any UVI sounds within it( keys, strings etc). and bringing in outside sounds is as easy as drag and drop. cool sound layering too. easy sequencing using scenes-just drag them in the order yo...

this was a VERY cool and unexpected product from MOTU!


saw the demo today...worked like a charm. and it even has a calibration system that keeps your analog gear in tune-realtime!


if i'd only had that in my moog days...

i have a gazillion VI's and hardware synths but i sometimes find just what i need with the bundled DP stuff. bassline thru a hardware neve pre and 1176 has been perfect on some tracks. ( i think most VI's need to be run thru tubes to get a big tone). i also love the nano sampler...just drag and drop...
