Just an "update".
I used Time Machine yesterday (took about 5 hours) to take my system back to the day before the update and with just a few re-authorization issues I'm pretty much back to normal.
Thanks, everyone.

Re: All AU plugins are missing
Yeah, but the patch was for users with three to four year old operating systems. And, the patch was for iOS compatibility. The fact it hosed AUs is surprising, to say the least. Clearly something was missed. I would have been happier, and much more forgiving, if iTunes simply warned me my machine w...

Re: loose consolidated windows
Phil & Shoosh (and maybe Magic Dave); I'm setting up DP 8.04 on my Mac laptop for sketching on the road and am finding that the "Enable Consolidated WIndow" checkbox is no longer there?? Did it go away? I would like to know if I can no longer disable the Consolidated Window. I always ...

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
I basically posted this same question in the MOTU Digital Performer group on FB.
One guy is pretty convinced that an Apple automatic update is what crashed the Audio Units on 10.11.6.
This is what I'm showing within the past four days.
(I did disable the auto-update feature earlier today.)

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
Is the system shown your signature up-to-date? I think sometimes whether DP is in 32-bit or 64-bit mode can affect whether plugins appear or not. I think so, stubbsonic. I'm the current active user. Under the I have the option of "Log Out Buzzy Smith..." Thanks. Buzzy To determine wheth...

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
Just a shot in the dark here, but make sure that the plug-in called "MAS Audio Unit Support" didn't get unchecked somehow in the Plug-Ins preferences. If it's unchecked, none of your AU plug-ins will load. Thanks, James. I did check that earlier today and even tried disabling and re-enabl...

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
Hi Buzzy, Open Preferences/Audio Plugins and you should see the button to reexamine. If you wish to reexamine a plug-in or plug-ins, select the desired plug-ins and press the Reexamine button. What isn't made clear is that you have to hilite them before the button works. If none are showing, more i...

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
Except they say They are not even showing in the Preferences>Audio Plug-ins list. Sounds more like the AU’s got moved inadvertently to somewhere they oughtn’t be or something. buzzsmith, can you confirm your AUs are in the system level Components folder? So, Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > Com...

I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
Hi, all! Long time, no see... Anyway something happened today and DP is not seeing ANY of my AU VIs or plugins. They are not even showing in the Preferences>Audio Plug-ins list. Only MAS and some never enabled VSTs. So there appears to be no way to re-examine when there are no AUs in the list to re-...

Re: Clean Install of Mavericks?
Back to your question. It depends on your older applications. The WWDC is coming up and we will soon know if OS 10.15 will really be the OS that breaks away from 32 bit. Apple has kicked this can before. If so, a lot of old stuff will no longer work—for me, that includes Microsoft, FileMaker and Ad...

Clean Install of Mavericks?
Probably a typo.JSmith1234567 wrote:I am going to upgrade from Sierra to Mavericks.
What is the consensus on doing a clean install of the OS vs. just an OS upgrade?
Thanks!
You mean upgrading FROM Mavericks TO Sierra, right?

Re: El Capitan and DP10.01
I'm on El Cap. There's an issue where white blocks appear randomly when the GUI is scaled, that seems to be El Cap only, that was not resolved with the .01 update :( Other than that all is a-okay. Yep. Had a long TechLink discussion with a MOTU tech. I still don’t understand why this only happens i...

Jimi, I honestly have never tried this.
I’ll check out the video and I’m sure others will comment, as well.

Re: DP10 Stretch function
I’m not quite sure that I understand, but I’ll offer this...
Stretching is really for lengthening or shortening a sound bite. Not quantizing, which sounds like what you’re trying to do?
