Here's a pretty definitive article that explains how daisy chaining or using t-connectors are both potentially unreliable. This article is talking about daisy-chaining without T-connectors (or daisy-chaining with T-connectors, but improper hookup). Neither is something I would recommend. Reread my ...

From what "sources" have you culled a requirement to use the same cable lengths? Could you post a link? This is from research I did years ago. I found a large plurality of sources that said to use a word clock distributor and to not daisy chain, use similar cable lengths and the correct i...

Use a word clock distributor if there are not enough BNC connectors coming off of your clock source. Don't daisy chain. Use the same cable lengths and the correct impedence (75ohms)... this is what I've culled from numerous sources.

Why not do it right?

The stock wurli in the kontakt 2 library is killing me! I also like the wurli samples on the 60s and 70s keyboards soundblock I bought for my Roland JV2080. If you've got kontakt, check out the wurli... it's about the best thing in the stock library. The Rhodes samples that came with MachFive are re...

I agree with Homebilly. Have the editor give you QT files, that's his/her job. And it's actually easier for them. I haven't had to digitize a VHS in over two years. ... and he'll bill the producers for his time when doing it. If they're on a tight budget you may not have this option. I had to digit...

Yep.

I use a sony media convertor... RCA to firewire. iMovie5 works well... better than 4 because 4 was getting very buggy for me.

Any plugs that need to be automated by any way other than via MIDI controller need to remain within the chunk. I wish DP allowed you to move a VRack track BACK to the chunk... it would keep my brain inside my skull for a greater portion of the day. By the way... does anyone know if there's a way to ...

There's an "options" button you can click within the plugin... enable cc7 & cc10 automation within this "hidden" menu....

Importing the audio fixes the problem (the lag happens only when you play the audio on the movie itself). I'd have no problem doing that for something short, but I do multiple chunks (one for each cue) on a 45 min show each week, which means I'd have to reimport the 45 min of audio for each cue. Th...

I made a bunch of blank partitions in my 250 GB boot drive so that I never have to wipe a current boot partition when either restoring a backed up boot partition or experimenting with new OS versions. I haven't regretted it.
