Re: 896mk3 Master & Phones Out Problem

Since Cuemix doesn't allow for routing of software inputs, in a typical setup you would have an output bus in Cubase feeding the main outs and one feeding the phones. Couldn't just mute the main outs when you go to record? Also, if I remember correctly I believe pressing the volume button on the fro...

Re: 828mk3 and Sound Routing

You could do it with a loopback. I have my s/pdif out connected directly to s/pdif in (make sure you use a digital audio cable and not a cheap rca). Use the s/pdif out as the software output then in Cuemix you can use up to 8 mixes to assign the s/pdif in to whatever hardware outputs you want. It su...

Re: Cuemix routing

Why not try looping your signal back? Maybe using the S/PDIF pair? It's likely that no one else but you will ever know! This is exactly what I do. I always use s/pdif-out as my main software output. The drawback is that I have to use one of the 8 mixes in Cuemix to route s/pdif-in to Main Out for m...

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320

I'm running XP 32-bit and these drivers didn't work for me either. My whole computer got really slow and Cuemix would go unresponsive before it even opened. Windows media player wouldn't even play, it would freeze on "Opening data". I went back to 6.8.1414 and everything works great. I sho...

Re: Separating 896 mk3 output from inputs

If I understand your question, the solution is to simply mute all the inputs in Cuemix. Under the mixing tab you have 8 available mixes, each of which can be assigned to any hardware output. Choose the mix which you have assigned the output you want, and make sure all the inputs are muted. With all ...

Re: effects on every input while monitoring

I recently bought the 896mkIII and was disappointed to find out that you CAN'T apply effects to the inputs without recording them. The Cuemix manual clearly states that anything done in the Inputs tab occurs before the signal is sent anywhere else (computer, mixes, outputs). This is in direct contra...

Re: FIX: Running Motu FW devices in XP SP2, SP3

Sorry for the noob post, I hadn't realized there was a second page to this thread before I posted... I installed the sp1 drivers along with a few system tweaks like uninstalling the built-in firewire and soundcard. I mixed in Sonar for about an hour and had no clicks or pops whatsoever. A note about...

Re: FIX: Running Motu FW devices in XP SP2, SP3

First post! I just got an 896mkIII and have a small amount of clicks and pops. It may be that I'm running a VIA firewire chipset although I'd like to try this fix before I get a new card. I've previously done the registry hack fix but XP PRO was pre-installed with SP2 so I don't have the sp1.cab fil...
