DP7 doesn't remember Preferences...
Hey guys, I'm having a weird issue where DP won't remember some of my preferences, particularly that I don't want it to do anything when I open DP7. However, it keeps opening the file that was last opened which takes time. Then I have to close it and open the file I want, which takes more time. Also...

Strange crashes with certain projects...
Hi guys! Your help is needed yet again. I'm getting these weird crashes all of a sudden and only with certain projects. These projects tend to have a lot of sequences loaded up with quite a few tracks each. My band uses backing tracks when we play, and the amount of tracks varies. All of the plug in...

Re: DP7, Battery 3, and Korg NanoPad 2
That's the weird thing, in Stand Alone mode it does exactly what I want. In Plugin mode in DP7, it doesn't do that. The Audio/MIDI Settings for Battery 3 are only accessible in Stand Alone mode. I was hoping it would change the settings globally, including Battery 3 in Plugin mode but there's no way...

DP7, Battery 3, and Korg NanoPad 2
Hey guys! Right now, Battery 3 with DP7 responds to both my MIDI Keyboard and my Korg NanoPad 2. How can I make it so that Battery 3 responds ONLY to the Korg Nanopad? I tried changing channels on my keyboard, but Battery 3 responds to every channel, even if I set Battery 3 cells to respond to a par...

Going to upgrade to DP7
Hey guys
Not sure where to ask this but...
I'm currently on DP 6.03 and will have to upgrade to the latest of DP7 for my incoming new Macbook Pro.
Is the "Upgrade from previous version" purchase option only available through MOTU?
Thanks!

Re: controlling DP 6.03 with a MIDI foot controller...
So I got my controller hooked up via MIDI and I see MIDI Monitor on DP picks up activity. I went to the commands window and was even able to assign the CCs I wanted for each action by pressing the buttons on my controller. However, DP won't do anything when I click them! MIDI Monitor sees it, Comman...

Re: Hard drive goes into sleep mode and never wakes
Yeah, my Energy Saver settings already have the Hard Drive sleep mode turned off. I think it's the drive itself that goes into sleep. It never really was a problem because it would sleep when I would step out for a minute and when I'd come back it would take a few seconds to spin back up. Now it doe...

Re: Sending MIDI messages via DP6
Thanks shooshie! I've yet to purchase an FX unit for this because I wasn't sure if I could even pull off what I want to do. Now that I know it's possible, I'll start looking at FX units. I'm sure the manual of whatever unit I purchase will state which function responds to which MIDI command. I used ...

Hard drive goes into sleep mode and never wakes
Hey guys, This problem just started yesterday with my External HD. Everything will work fine while I'm running DP 6.03. If I let it sit too long, my HD goes into sleep mode but then it will never wake up. The program slows down like it usually does while the drive wakes up again but then it stops re...

Event List - Soundbites?
I'm on DP 6.03. The manual says that the Event List shows everything that is happening in a track. However, when I open the Event List and select an audio track in a sequence, it doesn't show anything at all, even though there are clearly events happening in that track. A soundbite starts at measure...

Re: Sending MIDI messages via DP6
Yes I do, I'm just not sure where to look. I'm familiar with programming MIDI Instrument sequences, but there are so many MIDI functions that I'm not 100% certain on what they do. I may even already know how to do what I'm asking I just don't know it yet :P I'll search into the book more. Thanks guy...
