Processing Peak LED randomly lighting up, muting audio
Hey everyone - I've been experiencing odd performance behavior with DP lately... even since before the DP 9.1 and 9.12 updates. Sometimes when I'm busy with a project the Processing PEAK LED will light up and stay lit. The Processing LEVEL indicator shows 'normal' behavior, and DP is playing/recordi...

Re: TimeCode drifting/not matching when navigating timeline
It sounds like the counter is off by a few frames when you stop, is that correct? But if you continue to playback, the frame rate is OK? The counter is off (ahead) by exactly one frame... but not every time - roughly one out of every five or six times DP lines/syncs up with the t/c on the video whe...

Re: TimeCode drifting/not matching when navigating timeline
Hey Frank - yeah it's not a frame rate issue. That was the first thing I checked. DP is set up correctly. When I was working in DP 7 the timecode was rock solid and I never had this issue before. I also don't think it's a video rendering issue. I work on multiple A/V projects with a host of differen...

TimeCode drifting/not matching when navigating timeline
Hi everyone - I've noticed since my upgrade from DP7 to DP8 that there is an issue with timecode not matching up when I browse or navigate through a project. For example: when I press play and stop after a few seconds, the timecode (t/c) in DP is always/most of the time, one frame ahead of the t/c o...

Re: Possible Unisyn Replacement
I came across this product while looking to archive some DW8000 patches. http://www.squest.com/Windows/MidiQuest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I like where he's going with this. Mmmm... Maybe MOTU should get Unisyn up to speed and do something similar. I mean, they've des...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops [RESOLVED]
:( I'm afraid I "spoke" to soon - my problem is still there. I exchanged my card for another one yesterday but no luck - the clicks on ch 3 are still present. Only option left is to test the 2408mk3 (again) as a standalone unit without connecting it to the mac. Or maybe I should take the &...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops
Do what I did mate, point em to this thread and maybe even do a video of the problem in action, seemed to really speed them up. 8) thanks Liam - yeah maybe I'll do that. Actually, the tech guy at MOTU thinks the card may be faulty, and they want me to return it. In the mean time I have downloaded M...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops
@cornellb I'm going to leave the thread open (if that's ok with the Mods?) until you're problem is fixed, but I'm pretty sure that your card is dodgy too. Thanks Liam, glad to hear your card issues are sorted out! 8) I'm busy testing the card with the help of a tech guy at MOTU. Not sure what the o...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops
@cornellb Let us know what response you get to your Motu Tech Link mate. Hey Liam, The guy at MOTU wrote: "Have you tested different cables to connect your 2408mk3 to the PCI-424? As a further test, try running the 2408mk3 in standalone mode (disconnected from PCI-424). The interface will cont...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops
...I've also posted a tech link to MOTU yesterday. I'll give feedback when they reply. I've also tried messing around with the Hardware Driver settings but no luck. At one point I even figured that it might be the clock of the digital out/in of the built in sound card inside the Mac that's conflicti...

Re: PCI 424 Crackles and Pops
Hey - I got my card about 3 months ago, and I'm having the exact same problem with the clicks and pops. The Channel 3 LED on the output of my 2408 mk3 is blinking in sync with the clicks and pops. I only use Channel 1 & 2 as Analog out. I also hear the clicks on both the left and right channel. ...

Re: Can't import OMF files into DP 7.11
Hmmm... ok, I've loaded DP7.01 on one of my iMacs and my MacBook Pro and they both open the OMF files. It seems like it's only my Mac Pro that is struggling with the OMF conversion. :| Can anybody read/understand crash logs? Process: Digital Performer [761] Path: /Applications/Digital Performer 7.12...

Re: Can't import OMF files into DP 7.11
I updated to DP 7.12, and I tried to load an OMF file from a new client today (file created with AVID) and STILL NO LUCK!!! DP 7.12 crashes when I load the OMF file...
