I am having the same problem with my 8pre and its driving me crazy. I have a very small session tomorrow and then a very large one all weekend and I have to figure out a work around. I also updated my my fireware on my 8pre and the software on my Mac Pro 2.8 - 8-core and it didn't work at first but ...
