Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible

Sorry for the late reply!

What I do is keep this folder on my desktop - don't replace anything- and load them from the LiquidMix plugin - hit load new and grab a preset from this folder.

Re: Waves plug-ins

I have Mercury (Waves gave it to me for free) and I use the Chris Lord-Alge plugs quite a bit. I don't use the presets - well, I have when doing a rough mix - but I like them. It gives you several variations of the 1176 for example. I only own two 1176 compressors - a reissue Blue Stripe and a Urei ...

Re: DP and Mac Pros

I bought a Mac Pro used for $1000.00. I had a dual 2.7 G5. I can tell you the MP smokes it in that my G5 was having trouble with some VIs (12 GB of RAM in it BTW) and just would sometimes get bogged down. I went with the MP instead of the iMac because I already had a monitor, wanted to be able to is...

Re: V.I. and MIDI track

This is a good thing.

Last night I was recording a part with B4II.

I decided I didn't really know if the organ was right so I added an Electric Keys EP and just assigned the MIDI channel to it.

I do this all the time.

Re: Preferred OS with DP7

Great discussion.

I'm stuck with Leopard on a MBP due to my DM-3200 not supporting Snow Leopard.

It's running fantastic.

Re: Can I use 2 G5 Machines as a cluster with DP7?

Thanks! I have seen the MIDI over LAN for PC, but I have yet to try an OSX application.

I know FXTeleport was supposed to go Mac, but I do not believe they ever did.

Re: Proverb IR"S

I have an IR folder on my desktop.

Inside, I have folders - Lexicon, TC Electronics, Real Spaces, etc...

It was a pain to create but since I'm used to it it works well.

Can I use 2 G5 Machines as a cluster with DP7?

I am running DP7 on a G5 (2.3 PCIe with 10.5 gigs of RAM). Someone just gave me another G5 (2.5 PCI). This raised some questions for me. Would it be possible to use the second G5 (PCI) as a glorified expansion chassis? I would love to be able to install my old PCI UAD-1 and Powercore on it and use t...

Re: What do I need to use my old Cinema Display

I have an old Cinema display. You have to buy the more expensive power supply. You can usually find them on ebay for about $50.00. You need it because the monitor needs power, which was supplied from the computer in the old setup (I used mine with a G4). Also, the box supplies USB power to the monit...

I'm doing the same and having no issues with any plugs, VIs or cards (Duende PCIe and UAD-1 PCIe).

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible

Good Questions!

Just merge them in.

They should be additional - I had them in my LM folder so when I made these I just zipped mine up - so don't delete anything, just merge these.

Hope this answers your question!

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible

Just so everyone knows The Liquid Mix has been dropped to $199.99 http://www.bswusa.com/proditem.asp?item=LIQUIDMIX16 I have the more expensive LM and it's really nice. The sounds are the same in both (I actually would prefer this one without the display, as I don't really use it) but this is a grea...
