DP code, and pitch correction

hi guys, i was wondering why Logic pro has the edge over all the other apps including DP in the low latency and CPU efficiency department. After all Dp is a dedicated Mac app and has been out for years; you would have thought MOTU would have long since caught up with Logic in these areas. Also can s...

well yeah, and hey can you believe this(because others can't). Even though youtube is only (supposedly) streaming MP3 audio,IMO it still manages to convey the overall sound quality of a plugin. On that basis i absolutely loved the sound of Bassline,Polysynth, and Modulo. Add the fact that the Nanosa...

Not to drag it out, but thanks for being refreshingly down to earth, supportive, and levelheaded monkeyman. It's actually suprising that you didn't jump on the boat with everyone else and fire your machine gun at me. That is actually a very rear thing on the net. Usually everyone on a forum bands tog...

good sentiments monkey man and accepted with gratitude. The bottom line is that i take fiery darts with a grain of salt as none of the others critical comebacks have had much substance to it other than snarling at me for having an opinion, and i'm old enough to understand the defensive and nasty sid...

very true Dave, and i appreciate everything you just said.Whatever ones genre of music is, i have no problem with it whatsoever. Your passion and what tunes you like are entirely personal. just go hard i say. someone here asked me what i use to make phat sounding tracks. All outboard and hardware is...

someone here suggested i would need a subwoofer to reproduce sounds down at 40hz, um i thought i made it clear! I am using Mackie monitors which are "FLAT" all the way down to 35hz, so a sub is not needed. i don't mind being a know it all, as long as i "Know it all" about what i ...

Trouble is, i don't like softsynths that emulate the inherent instability in traditional analog hardware. I prefer the precise modern 21st century sound, and thats what sylenth gives you. Plus it saves you having to spend millions on a hardware access virus, because it is able to produce those sound...

well i won't be having speaker busting problems between 40hz and 50hz as i own a pair of Mackie HR8'24's mkII's and have no such problem. yep! it's just room busting, wall shuddering , tight, deep, articulate bass all the way for me. Don't give me your low down on what phat is Dave, cause you don't ...

dave bourke! if your telling me there is no way i can use synth 1 then i am downcast downtrodden and utterly dispondant and it's gonna take me weeks to get over it. That is an absolute one in a million synth, and i can't believe it's free. Are you absolutely sure a wrapper will not work? I thought t...

Thanks for the positivity and support monkey man and wurliuchi. I have an opinion and am absolutely adament about it. Everyone has the right to an opinion and should be respected for it. I love passionate debate and getting into the details of what people like and don't like for whatever their parti...

hey guys, i respect the fact that some or most of you may be using Altiverb, and obviously it's one of the best out there and great stuff as a convolution plug, but i also like the sound of artificial reverb and i want to try and find one that sounds like those calssic 80's 90's high end studio reve...

No i'm not talking about Predator Monkeyman, i'm talking about the free VSTi(hopefully we can get a wrapper, because this synth is worth it and version1.07 of this synth has been totally overhauled, and now it's a warm phat non aliasing synth capable of some very thick leads amongst a whole host of ...

True Dave! But my way of working will be(i say will be because i don't even own a computer or DP yet) will be to keep things to a minimum and not get clogged up with too many "me too" synths. To me absynth may be versatile but it has that "oh so obvious" "SOFTSYNTH" ton...

yes 666, thats exactly the video i was talking about. How much more realistic do you want it to sound? Every reverb algorithm sounds different, and there are dozens of them. None of them can claim to be the ultimate, just a variation on reality, but the Everb to my ears has a "Realistic" t...

In a nutshell, neither absynth nor nexus nor zebra sound "ANYWHERE NEAR" as phat or as good as sylenth1 IMO.
