I have to admit I feel pretty gutted that the firmware that was made and recommended by MOTU caused an issue that I now pay MOTU tech people to fix. I have asked them to reconsider their quote for fixing the unit considering the circumstances. And although the unit was only 6 months old, it still fa...

I just had a chat to a friend of mine who is an electrician and explained your situation to him. He said that you have most likely fried it. Having said that he would suspect that, you have probably only fried the fuse. He said it may have an in line fuse in it, most likely glass. You could open the...

So have you registered the product under your name? Once you have set up an account you can use a techlink and a support person will respond to your question. It can take a couple of days to get a response. I had some trouble phoning too ... and I am calling the US from here in New Zealand which was...

- Try a factory reset - push the Setup knob, turn it all the way to the right and follow the directions on the LCD. (828 mk II, Traveler and UltraLite ONLY) this doesn't apply to the 8pre - Try setting both your Optical Input and Optical Output in the MOTU Console to ADAT. I can't change any settin...

Performed 8pre firmware update .... now 8pre doesn't work!
Anyone got any advice? I have contacted tech support at MOTU but I am recording tomorrow and now the 8pre is not being recognised by the computer. After turning it off and on all it shows is the "UP" lights on the front panel like when it was updating.
I have the latest drivers installed.
