Re: crashes in 10.11
Just as a note: I've been using Waves plug-ins since 1998, and have never had a problem with any of them.

Re: crashes in 10.11
Yep. I solved my weird crashing problems by creating a new user. Now runs like a watch.

Re: Numeral 3 beneath DP icon
Yeah, you apparently renamed your copy of DP to "3." Just change the name back.

Samsung and Crucial have both worked perfectly for me. The Samsung's are widely praised.

I don't understand the hate for iTunes. It's just a list of songs that play instantly. What's wrong with it?

Re: Glitchy 96k playback w/only 10%CPU usage on 12 core 5.1
I record at 96K all the time on my 12-core 5,1, and don't experience any "glitchiness" in DP 10.11. Not to say this statement is helpful, but it might let you know that the problem is not inherent in DP.

Re: Sound presents on small monitors
What kind of EQ are you applying to the kick/bass?
I get fat bass tones that are still audible on an iPhone speaker (have to,, writing tunes for video games) by rolling off everything under 40Hz, doing a slight dip at around 300, and a slight narrow boost at 1K.

Re: 5" powered Monitors
My only problem with Behringer has little to do with their business practices (although I find their hiding behind German IP laws to be a load of bollocks): it's simply that they build crap. I had a Behringer Composer rack-mount compressor in here for about a week. A friend wanted to sell it, and lo...

Re: Switch to PC or stick to MAC?
I'm a Mac guy. But my wife works in an office where they use Windows laptops. Yesterday and the day before, she spent over an hour online, screen-sharing with their IT guy, trying to make a simple HP printer connect over the network with her laptop. It was pure agony and it still doesn't work. My ex...

Re: 5" powered Monitors
Does M-Audio still make BX-5s? I had a set of those that were perfect for "small box" mix checking.

I have to contact Korg. I went to update my Wavestation plug and they don't have my registration, for some reason.

Re: Anomalies when bouncing
Bayswater... yes, Logic seemed to clip a few samples from the start of the bounce, and it only takes one to be able to hear the loop.

Re: Anomalies when bouncing
I work on video game scores that require the audio file to loop perfectly. I'm a real stickler about a sample accurate loop, one that stays in perfect time. I had a hell of a time getting such a loop out of Logic. No such problems in DP. Not science, just an observation. I personally think DP sounds...
