Can't record Audio Track from Softsynths Loopback function M4
Can't seem to get Loopback function to get signal input from softsynths into an Audio track. Seems so simple but routing not patching thru or something. Bundles looks correct. Updated M4 Firmware. Updated M4 drivers. System audio correct. Audio MIDI settings correct. Maybe a button to tickle somewhe...

mute one audio part inside track
I swear they added the feature to mute an individual piece of audio inside a live track but can't seem to find it in the menus?

DP7 forgets instrument names
I'll set up large palette of virtual instrument tracks. Then I'll change the instrument name from Vienna Ensemble Pro-1 to MB Strings or the like. Then it never fails sometime in the future the virtual instrument names disappear and return back to Vienna Ensemble Pro-1. This is always a pain to go m...

Re: Seamless Solo
it isn't instantaneous and it glitches the reverb on the tracks that are put into solo.

Seamless Solo
I miss the good ole days when I was recording a cue that would be immediately followed by a cue I was not recording. I could set up to "solo" only the tracks I needed that were the final sustained sounds of the outgoing cue that I was recording. I could then start recording and hit solo ne...

Anyone replace their giga machine with Mac Mini & M52??
the new version of Mach52.02 fixed the bugs I had. The few keyswitched VSL giga sounds I loaded worked flawlessly. I just had a giga die and was thinking of replacing it with a Mac Mini running M52. Not sure how much you can pound on it. Giga was pretty solid that way. Anyone???!!! Wish they would u...

I've loaded a few VSL keyswitch samples which load and play flawlessly so far!!! I should audition more. One of my gigas just died and thinking of replacing it with a Mac Mini and M52. Used to have weird sustain pedal problem in M52 as well as the stand-alone version disappeared. But all seems fixed...

Drag files from iTunes????
I've been using iTunes to organize demos and cues for years. How come I can drag anything in iTunes to the desktop, but I can't drag straight from iTunes to the DP soundbites window???
Always have to copy to desktop first, then import. Hassle!

Bouncing Mono Files
When I bounce mono tracks using WAV or IAFF, they come out stereo!
It seems only SD2 gives me a mono option when bouncing.
I swear I've exported mono files before though, or was that exporting from Soundbites?
Any suggestions or should I just use SD2?
Thanks

FATAR footswitch 93 & large Roland piano-like sustain pedal.
next thing to try tomorrow is different controller I guess.

clicks and pedal
the clicks I heard was auditioning the standalone version. just loaded the plugin in DP. german piano #1 - definite clicks in all the notes mentioned above - no headphones necesary. already been verified by MOTU. B below Middle C is the worst - soft velocity - inexcuseable in my opinion. the pedal p...

stuck notes in pedaling
this pedal problem: http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22476 nothing to do with keyswitching, happens on any sound. Swooshie: Are you talking about all the VSL included in Mach52? because that's what I listed. But I was talking about VSL samples translated from the giga format. If you u...

Some VSL legato samples included
I finally realized that VSL included some legato samples in M52!!!!! The included legatos are Fl, Vln, Vla, Vlc, and Hrn. These are set up very different than importing a existing giga VSL legato instrument. The layer section does not seem intuitive compared to the layering done in the Vienna Instru...

VSL performance Legato Samples?
Mach52 has legato setting in layers. Can this be used to duplicate the VSL legato tool?
Any instructions?
The samples come across fine themselves, but without legato tool, they are useless...javascript:emoticon(':?')

more piano note clicks
so does b3 and Ab 4 and Eb 2 and E 2 and B 3 most of these are at softer velocities besides the B2 and B3 one bad sample makes the piano utterly useless! MOTU needs to fix this along with the stuck notes using sustain pedal! I was getting excited by some of the sounds at first, but these "beta-...
