MOTU Website update 4/11/2014
Anybody got any word on MOTU? I cannot access the website since last night. The only info I can find was posted here on March 5th, 2014. http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=57097 As irony would have it, my DP 6 started crashing on me last night (a relatively small multitrack ses...

SSD HD Opinions
Sometimes it seems like my audio system (w/7200rpm HD's) isn't fast enough to to allow smooth (Hicup/crash free) audio playback from DP 6.03. So, I'm thinking of adding a single SSD HD to my system. Money is a factor, can only afford one SSD HD. I hope to soon upgrade to an 8-core Intel but, until t...

Re: Copy and Paste during playback issues
Yes, the process of handling audio and MIDI on a computer is a technically complex one. However, older versions of DP on older machines, older drives, older OS, older *everything* didn't have this problem. There's honestly no reason for a state of the art, cutting edge OS and DAW to have a problem ...

Re: Copy and Paste during playback issues
I’m trying to find out if anyone else out there is having or has had similar issues, if this is a known issue and people have always just dealt with it, or am I the only person that has been plagued with this issue for the last 6 – 7 years. Yes, I have had this and numerous issues with DP over the ...

Re: EzDrummer Pasting Issue
After I drag and drop a measure from EZD into a track, too often when I paste a file it combines with the prior one and I have to delete both measures. I can paste 20 measures for example, then one will just combine with the prior. This only happens in DP. I have tried zooming out, etc. Any idea wh...

Re: Mult'ing Tracks in DP (i.e. Drums)
Thanks Dan! Ah Yes.... Now I should've known this. Even the busing post fader makes sense too-duh. <<Tied To The Stone (15 CDs sold since 2008. Only 985 left in stock!>> Boy I feel you there Dan. Good thing I've found about unsold CD's; they make great coasters, stocking stuffers, rear view mirror h...

Mult'ing Tracks in DP (i.e. Drums)
Greetings all, I am using DP 6.03/Dual 2.0 G5 PPC 6GB RAM/PCI-424/1224&2408 MKI. How can I mult (drum) tracks in DP 6? I have searched this site over and the DP manual and find nothing. I know most of you know what I'm referring to. It is is somewhat similar to busing but, it's additive outputti...

Re: International Collaboration
AWESOME!!!!!!
I think the only thing I would say is maybe a bit of stereo separation would have help on the instrument (guitars) clarity. But, a brilliant piece!!
Was that drum loops, BFD, programming?

Soundbites not highlighted in Soundbites menu
DP 6 & 7 Soundbites are not highlighted in Soundbites menu. If I highlight a soundbite either in the tracks window or the sequence editor and wish to see them (for exporting, etc)when I open the Soundbites window, they are not highlighted in the Soundbites window. This is (and has always been) t...

DP Audio Session for Video
Greetings, I have a one hour plus multitrack mix @ 48k-24 bit which is to be married to HD footage. This and the video footage was not shot to timecode and will be joined manually/visually after the post video editing is complete. I am 5 songs into the DP mxing session. I was told before hand by the...

Problem Authorizing DP6
I know, DP6-Old School. The answer to this question may be contact MOTU for a new install disk? This is my first attempt to install DP6 on a Macbook Pro Intel Core Duo 1.83Ghz 2GB Ram, OS 10.5.8. I installed DP 6 then, when the authorization box appears (install disk is on desktop), I enter my name ...
