thankyou for the responses, first, the driver and audiodesk versions are up to date (1.4.6 driver and audiodesk 2.11, which according to motu is compatible with intel). My firewire port is working as well (my Lacie external drive works just fine and shows up in system profiler, whereas the traveler ...
