The optical connections work with the 2 optical cables set for ADAT. As far as using the Analog bank and Analog Inputs of the MOTU and Analog Outputs of the ADA8000 No signal. Update
Still no analog signal into 2408, but did get signal without the tick noise when I added the second optical cable and set the ADA on ADAT and the MOTU PCI Console clock to internal. Thanks for the help!

Update
Sent the 424 card in for repair. MOTU tech support took about 2 weeks to get me a RA#. The card wasn't under warranty, I couldn't understand why I had to jump through so many hoops. Anyway got it back and now the problem is solved.

Sounds like your card is the issue. I had the exact same trouble with my 424 card in a 2408mk2 setup. After trying to resolve all of the IRQ slot conflicts MOTU Tech support said the card was in need of repair. I got an RA# and sent it in and sure enough it was the card. No signal from ADA8000 to 2408mk2 w/424 card
2-2408 mk2, connecting ADA8000 in analog to #1 2408mk2. I see signal from mics to ADA, but no signal to 2408mk2. Drivers are correct, using Sonar6.
