UPDATE: irql_not_less_or_equal: motuaw64.sys, BSOD

I know it's been forever since anyone's been on this thread, but this is the most succinct description of this blue screen problem that is on the forum right now, so I've got an update. I'm still running Vista x64 and will hang indefinitely when I quit (and BSOD if I try to kill C5 with Task Manager...

Re: PCI-424 drivers...64pci-1.6.9.2.zip contains 1.6.8.0?

Well that's some relief - thanks 1nputOutput.

But in the end it's bad news. I've got a consistent Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) exiting Cubase 5, that has been reported by myself and others elsewhere, and I was kinda hoping that I didn't have the latest drivers. *sigh*

Thanks,
Bryan

PCI-424 drivers...64pci-1.6.9.2.zip contains 1.6.8.0?

Hi gang, I downloaded the Vista x64 drivers ( 64pci-1.6.9.2.zip ) and when I installed it appears that the package installs drivers with version 1.6.8.0: MOTU PCI Audio Driver for x64: 1.6.8.0, 7/13/2009 MOTU PCI GSIF Driver for x64: 1.6.8.0, 7/13/2009 MOTU PCI Wave Driver for x64: 1.6.8.0, 7/13/200...

Re: irql_not_less_or_equal: motuaw64.sys, BSOD

I am experiencing exaclty what orchetect describes. If I quit Cubase 5, Cubase will hang indefinitely, and if I kill it with task manager, the MOTU driver will BSOD every time. Interestingly, with Cubase 4, it would hang on quit, but if I killed the process in task manager, it would not BSOD. Becaus...

The 2408 mkIII had been working well on my old PC for around a year, so I knew that wasn't the problem. What card version are you folks playing with? http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23726&highlight=424 If it's a first gen pci card, you'll need to update it from motu. The first g...

Actually...

I might be getting somewhere. I vaguely remember someone saying that the PCI424 wants to be a bus master. And I vaguely remember someone else saying there can be only one bus master, like Highlander. And I vaguely remembered something in my BIOS about letting the Intel RAID controller be bus master....

Sounds familiar

I just went from an ASUS P5WDG2 Pro (which has an Intel 975 chipset) to a newer ABit IP35 Pro mobo (which uses an Intel P35 chipset). My PCI424/24IO worked great on the ASUS. On the IP35 Pro, after installing the 1.6.7 drivers with setup.exe (which claim to succeed) I get a "Vista needs to inst...
