i've installed a new processor and so far haven't had any clicks or pops.

i'm recording several devices at once ( mpc on the spdif, virus and machinedrum on the analogue inputs etc) and it works really well.

no i replaced my wireless pci card with a usb2 wireless card thus leaving only the pci firewire card on the pci bus.

mhschmieder you are joking. i've a virus Ti and whilst its not directly comparable it can do much more than the prophet 08. Of course it doesn't sound like one, but for flexibility its got it beat. I trialed a Prophet 08 very recently and its a lovely sounding synth with some fairly nice presets.......

i had a d-link wlan card on my system that chewed up resources.

it got replaced...

sadly i have a desktop with a generic firewire card.

i also have the same problems you are getting. i've stripped everything back to basics and worked out it was something sharing the same bus so replaced the item with a usb 2 equivalent ( was a wireless lan card)....

if you are using a desktop pc and have a few things on the same pci bus as the fire wire card that you use (i use a belkin with a ti chipset) then you will find its better to run your pc with just the firewire card by itself. i had a wireless card that caused some horrendous spikes in my sound and r...
