Having used Peak since version 5 through 7, I made the switch to Wavelab 7 and couldn't have been happier. I have tried DSP Quatro, but didn't get on with it.
Why not demo the audio editors for yourself and then decide what suites your workflow?

So when are you going to upgrade to DP8??
Day 1 as well. I would love to see a future DP version with the IRCAM time stretching/pitch shifting algorithm. I go to iZotope RX2 Advanced (for time) or Melodyne when DP can't handle complex stuff (like piano). That said, this release is HUGE me thinks! :D IRCAM time stretching in MachFive 3 is e...

I will be upgrading on Day 1. DP7 is great, but I was disappointed that it did not transform into a 64bit app during its version cycle. The other features that will be announced are going to be icing on the 64bit cake.

Re: Thoughts about DP on Windows
Thoughts on VST. While Dave did say in the video that VST (and Rewire) will be supported on the Windows side, he did, in passing, say that DP is not quite finished. An intimation that VST is to be added on the Mac side? Also, there is no mention of Rewire being 64bit. Hopefully this will be another ...

Re: VIDEO OF NAMM DP8 DEMO
The internet is now telling me Logic uses a 32bit bridge to allow access to 32bit plugins. A solution that (the internet says) causes problems for many (it's Logic. how can they tell? :D ). This makes me think zed's assumption is indeed correct! …which leads me to my next naive question. Does all t...

3rd Party Plugin GUI on AUX
I am experiencing a weird issue in DP 7.24 on OSX 10.7.2: My third party AU plugin's GUI are not showing up on AUX tracks; all the other tracks are OK. When I add an Echoboy or Vintage Warmer plugin, for instance, I get a tiny effects window (the one with all the drop down boxes for routing and what...
