Re: FADERPORT 8 vs QCon Pro G2 8-channel universal DAW control surface?
I had purchased the single channel Faderport and I could get one half of it or the other to work, but not both. I returned it when i saw that Presonus had dropped support for DP. I later ended up with the QCon Pro G2 8-channel and I have not had any issues with it using the Mackie Control mode. The ...

Re: Warning RE: UADx Update 8/8/23
I found you need to launch and quit DP twice to fully scan new plug-ins I had tried the Spark trial around this time last year. I barely got it to launch without crashing, and UAD support never responded to me. I apparently forgot that happened and bought the Studer A800 when it was on sale, and af...

Re: Warning RE: UADx Update 8/8/23
The UADx plugins have been updated (at least the ones I have, with the possible exception of the free LA-2A). I can't find a change log. I was in the "crashes all the time" camp, although I did manage to get the Studer A800 to be mostly stable. So far it seems stable, but I did get a few &...

Re: DP 11 and Icon Qcon Pro X
In Digital Performer, look under the Help menu for "Control Surfaces Help". That will open a folder with a few different PDFs. The "Mackie Control" one applies to a lot if not all of the functionality of the Qcon. I have the Qcon Pro G2 and i don't know what the differences are f...

Re: Quick ? recording Drummer with click track.
You could always send the click output to a bus, set an aux channel with that bus input, and then automate a mute on that channel after 4 or 8 measures.

Beach balls with the 424?
Well, I've got a problem I can't seem to fix. I've sort of narrowed it down to either the 424 or the 24i/o, but it doesn't make sense to me, so I'm hoping someone will point out some overlooked/obvious issue before I start looking at replacing the hardware. My setup is a G5 1.8ghz, 4gb ram, Motu 424...

Aptrigga is the best. The DP trigger plug isn't even close to sample accurate or even consistently inaccurate. If you want to use it to replace a drum hits and have the samples line up with the bleed in other tracks, you need to move each hit to line up to the original. With Aptrigga it's literally ...

Your audio track isn't becoming corrupted. Putting the pitch adjustment on the track is going to delay the audio. If you do this in playback, you won't hear it if the latency compensation is on because it will delay the other tracks to match. Merging the track is just applying the pitch adjustment a...

The trigger plug-in in DP doesn't seem to be very accurate. Neither is Soundreplacer in Pro-tools. Drumagog is one way to go, but I can't possibly say enough about Aptrigga. It does everything you want it to do. It's incredibly flexable and it is nearly invisible. http://apulsoft.ch/aptrigga/index.p...

Have you tried to do it in DP? I've had a lot of luck with more drastic tempo changes than that. Just make sure the audio for each track starts at 0:00. (Paste in a little audio at 0:00 and merge the tracks if you have to.) Change the tempo (125) to your new tempo (120), then select all the soundbyt...

Re: Keeping window layout/configs. from changing...
Saving a window configuration isn't the same as saving track parameters, etc. Try saving the setup you want as a new template and check the box to use it as a default template.

666,
I did actually see your previous message. I was sort of thinking we were on the same page. In any event, this discussion has altered the way I think about processing files or at least made me more aware of the effect of the processing.
