Isn't that the same thing? As you pan your Mackie, the sound is just moving back and forth between the outputs, the left one going to the left speaker and the right one to the right speaker. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question.

Your audio track isn't becoming corrupted. Putting the pitch adjustment on the track is going to delay the audio. The trigger plug-in in DP doesn't seem to be very accurate. Neither is Soundreplacer in Pro-tools. Drumagog is one way to go, but I can't possibly say enough about Aptrigga. Have you tried to do it in DP? I've had a lot of luck with more drastic tempo changes than that. Just make sure the audio for each track starts at 0:00. Saving a window configuration isn't the same as saving track parameters, etc. Try saving the setup you want as a new template and check the box to use it as a default template.
