Same problem over here! I have contacted MOTU about this and several other issues but they have ignored this one completely. In my case M5 most recent uupgrade (v2.02) doesnt improve things at all!
If you come up with a solution let me know!

importing M5's DVD sample lib in one go. HELP!!!
Hi all! I have copied M5's 4 sample dvds on to my hard disk. They now show on M5's multi-column browser as 4 compressed files. I would like to uncompress all the samples and presets available and transfer them to my Sound Folder IN ONE GO. M5's multi-column browser allows for presets to be previewed...
