Re: digital performer works better with the internal audio card
828 mk3 works great with DP5.13. I also think it sounds better than my old pci424 and 2408mk2 as well...moscow studio wrote:what about the 828 mk3 and DP?
It really works well as expected, being both from MOTU?

Re: Help with Tap Tempo feature in DP 5.13
If you are trying to sync to pre-recorded tracks that don't match the sequence tempo, I suggest "record beats," which will modify the conductor track to follow the tempo of your music. Using "tap tempo" only creates a tempo based on the average of the last few taps rather than pl...

Re: New feature (wish) for DP4.53
Thanks...I am afraid this feature is completely unusable (as well as not documented) It definitely doesn't achieve the needed result...give it a try and see if you can decode it.
It was actually during the search for this feature that I encountered the poor manual index mentioned above.

Re: New feature (wish) for DP4.53
A "make beats from MIDI notes" function; If I want to create a tempo map from MIDI tapping, I currently have to tap in real time and hope I get it right. In Studio Vision I could record MIDI clicks and then edit them until they were perfectly in time, then generate tempo from them...(I oft...

Re: Recording Sysex?
Hey, could those be some other kind of messages, like active sensing etc? maybe the synth is transmitting them all the time. Try recording from the synth's MIDI out without initiating the sysex...if you get something that's it. Some Yamaha stuff is bad that way. You could then use input filtering to...

Re: Recording Sysex?
I tried recording sysex from my MotifES6 while in pause and had no success...the message appeared incomplete and would not dump back to the keyboard. Each device is a bit different in how it breaks up the data, so that may not be a problem with other devices. I think that the sysex spec really only ...

Re: Recording Sysex?
I do this much the way you are describing; I put DP in record then punch "enter" or "yes" etc. on the module. This will simply put your data package a few beats into the track- I don't think this will add any extraneous data. If you really need it at the very top, you can snip ou...

Mixer window resize
Has anyone had trouble with the mixer window in 4.5 not resizing itself? generally this happens when I add a new track...the window just stays the same size. If I uncheck and recheck "auto resize" it widens appropriately. also if I check and uncheck one of the track names in the list, it a...
