Re: Note values in Notation Editor

Hello, I’m glad someone brought it up. The note values between QuickScribe and Notation Editor have never been consistent. Notation editor should have been upgraded long time ago to match the resolution between the two windows. QuickScribe resolution of 1/64 is no match to Notation Editor which is o...

Re: Notation Editor?

We use the notation editor continuously. Can't do music with Lego blocks - need to see notes. It is all about the music. Is it not? MOTU was very good and quick fixing any bugs that came along.

Re: DP Beginner - Is there a tutorial on how to use QuickScr

Hello, Try using Notation Editor (manual pg. 421). You can build-up an array of MIDI Notation windows (video monitor real-estate permitted). That’s where you can apply dynamics to the instr. parts (visually and audibly), manipulate controllers, etc. This unfortunately cannot be done in the QuickScri...

Went back to DP7 for the same reasons.

Re: Thinking of Upgrading - Notation Editor Question

Yes, the Notation window is still there (thank God) though it’s kinda screwed up… MOTU keeps promising to fix it. Also, the note resolution is still low (we keep reporting to the techs). This window is also very important to us… a lot of pros use it extensively… hope it will still be there in DP8. P...

Re: So when are you going to upgrade to DP8??

And the friggin Notation Window!!! Hi - I appreciate you bringing the Notation Window issue up front. We’ve been using this window (not to be confused with Quickscribe) from day one (we don’t do Lego-blocking in the MIDI window). The Notation Window is extremely essential to us and to many of our c...

MachFive3… Why?

A lot more taxing on DP than MachFive2 (in plug-in mode).
Limit - 16 channels (in plug-in mode).
V-racks - only 16 channels.
Unless MOTU comes up w/64bit DP its useless.
Going back to MachFive2.
Waste of time and $$.

Re: DP 7.22 released

DP 7.22 issues – Notation Editor, etc 1. Notation Editor Window (not the QuickScribe) does not re-draw. After opening the Notation Editor, the screen is blank, no music staffs. Every time you re-open this window, you have to scroll the hidden notation up manually with the vertical bar on the left. W...

DP 7.1 & Waves 7 issues

DP7.1 doesn’t recognize the earlier versions of Waves presets (or Waves doesn’t see DP7.1) The presets are there, but DP and Waves don’t connect. There are years worth of presets generated for dif projects. What do they want me to do?, re-create all EQs, Lim, D-ess, etc. by hand, from scratch?.... a...

Mach5.2+DP+SoundFlower workflow

To anyone familiar with the Mach5+DP+SoundFlower workflow scheme. I need to run Mach5 standalone and Mach5 plug simultaneously and be able to publish the audio outputs in Performer for a final bounce in digital domain. Setting prefs seem to be pretty confusing••¦ Your thoughts are appreciated. PS: H...
