text size

Hi; here's a most basic question .. how can the size of the text (in such as a soundbites list) be increased ?
(DP6 currently, DP8?)

shrinking screens and ageing eyes don't mix well ..

Cheers

Re: USB MIDI

Thanks HCM Have found that the (PC3) USB device does automatically appear in the Audio MIDI setup; it does not respond to MIDI i/o until a further device is added to its i/o ports - here (another) PC3 Perhaps, as you say, the 'first' PC3 is providing the 'drivers' and the second the appropriate inst...

USB MIDI

G'day All

Sorry if this has appeared previously (can't see it if it has though); how do you set up the (DP6.03) Audio MIDI configuration when using USB for MIDI i/o - direct to/from a (Kurzweil) PC3 - with other stuff hanging off the PC3 ?

Cheers

Re: waveform editing

Thanks for the responses; may I pull it back a little and expand on the original request ? DP used to have a 'play to' and a 'play from' function that played audio for a (chosen) time up 'to' the start of an edit 'selection' in the waveform editor, as well it played 'from' the end point - again for ...

waveform editing

Hi All I recall - about 140 years ago - DP had a 'play to' (an edit selection) and 'play from' (the edit selection); the play times were set in the waveform editor mini menu and, as well, the functions were accessed via a couple of keyboard shortcuts This was a really useful and, when doing a lot of...

MIDI delays, continued ..

Hullo All This problem just doesn't go away it seems Am seeking a little help in attempting to set up a MIDI editing routine that works reliably. something I have never achieved unfortunately The problem lies with trying to edit MIDI notes (in the graphic editor) which vary in the time taken to hear...

Thanks Shooshie Got the commands list; the 'lost' waveform selection commands are there under 'audition' - except for the 'set audition time' - where's that gone ? Do you have to 'impliment' the new key commands to make them work? Dunno about the excitement factor being determined by fiddling with k...

DP5.1 waveform editing/auditioning

Hullo all In upgrading from DP4 to DP5 - and doing a lot of waveform editing - have 'lost' the audition commands (play up to selection start, play from sel start, etc) that used be listed under the 'soundbite' commands .. the manual says they're under the 'sound file editor commands' - but where's t...

DP and HDs

Hullo I'm wondering, in moving from an aging G4/DP4 to an Intel iMac/DP5, if there are any advantages - or disadvantages - in partitioning the (250G) HD prior to loading apps and projects ? Have used the (previously presumed 'best') technique of running apps on one drive with the recording projects ...

hiccup 4

Thanks John and Dave Have tried just about every combinatin of opening DP with/without audio/plugs; using older DP versions - nothing; freeze I'm wondering if a newer DP version (I'm on 4.12) might succeed in opening this seq.? And/or a much faster newer mac (this is an aging G4) ?? Would any of you...

hiccup 3

Thanks John

Didn't know about this trick; didn't work though, unfortunately

I recall noticing that a plug-in (MS decoder) has been acting oddly about the last time I opened this seq; is it possible to open DP minus audio and minus plugs ?

cheers
